We support this proposal to introduce native cancellation functionality directly within the Governor contracts and agree that cancellation should be available for the proposer during the pending period.
Would it be helpful to make proposals cancelable by an emergency moderator like the Arbitrum Foundation?
This might be relevant in case a malicious proposal is initiated, in which case the emergency moderator can cancel it to prevent it from becoming votable. It’s not a guarantee against governance attacks, but it might make them one step harder.
