Tane:
One thing we’d like to ask is if there’s any test for checking the Security Council’s ability to respond in emergencies. Do we have any sort of that?
While unnecessary requirements should be avoided, we do believe the Security Council’s ability to respond in emergencies should be tested periodically (though this might also have been incorporated already). This could serve as a substitute for formal reporting by confirming that members are prepared to fulfill their most critical responsibility. Conducting one or two simulation drills per year would be valuable. For example, without advance notice, the AF could simulate an incident, contact all SC members, and measure whether they respond within the required timeframe. Such drills would provide the DAO with confidence in the council’s performance on its most essential function.
Thank you for your question. As mentioned here , the Arbitrum Security Council members already participate in routine, off-chain fire drills, initiated by the Arbitrum Foundation.
