Delegate Statement

Lampros Labs DAO is an open community of builders and governance enthusiasts committed to transparency, decentralization, and inclusivity. Our mission is to empower new web3 builders, enhancing their skills and knowledge, with the ultimate goal of driving deeper decentralization in the ecosystem. Through active participation in governance and collaborative efforts, we strive to create a more transparent, inclusive, and resilient web3 landscape.

As a delegate of Arbitrum DAO, we are committed to contributing to the long-term success and decentralization of the Arbitrum ecosystem.

Lampros Labs DAO’s involvement in the Arbitrum DAO will be handled by a team of dedicated members from our DAO who are:

This delegate profile will represent the collective efforts and insights of Lampros Labs DAO in the Arbitrum governance process.

Our key areas of involvement include:

1. Governance Engagement: We will regularly attend DAO governance meetings and forums, actively voicing the concerns of our community/delegators and advocating for policies that align with the DAO’s core values.
2. Protocol Development: Leveraging our technical expertise, we will contribute to developing and improving Arbitrum’s core protocols wherever we can.
3. Ecosystem Expansion: Recognizing the importance of a thriving community, Lampros Labs DAO is dedicated to onboarding and supporting new projects building on Arbitrum. We will offer mentorship, technical guidance, sustainable finance and networking opportunities to foster innovation and growth.
4. Research and Education: We are committed to creating and sharing valuable data and research about Arbitrum. Our team hosts sessions and workshops to help new and experienced users better understand the technology. We also contribute to research initiatives and bounties, providing datasets, dashboards, reports, and insights that help the community make informed decisions.
5. Geographic Growth Strategy: Lampros Labs DAO is committed to expanding Arbitrum’s presence in Asia and Africa. We have a particular emphasis on real-world (IRL) efforts in Asia, leveraging our local connections and understanding of these markets to drive adoption and growth. While we have a focus on these regions, we remain committed to Arbitrum’s global growth and success.

We vote in favour of this proposal.

The proposed increase in the timelock delay for core upgrades is a positive step, aligning with the direction L2s are moving towards. This change follows L2Beat’s recommendations, and the shift from red to yellow status is a good signal for Arbitrum.

We went through the L2Beat website and noticed that zkSync Lite already has a yellow slice, so joining them in this status would be beneficial.

We also believe it’s important to define emergency situations clearly and as much as possible with current knowledge. This will help the Security Council make more informed and deterministic decisions when needed.

The work done by the advisors was really helpful in making the process smooth and efficient. The Program Manager did a great job in coordinating everything, which kept things on track.

Since the funds were already approved, it’s easy to vote in favor of this proposal.

What stands out to us is the transparency and level of detail in the proposal. The potential impact of ARB staking appears to fully justify the requested funding. The introduction of ARB staking and stARB provides a valuable way to strengthen governance while allowing token holders to capture value. The data provided highlights the need for stronger governance and DeFi support, and we believe that improving governance participation in this way is a step in the right direction.

We’re voting FOR this proposal to extend the ADPC’s tenure into Phase II.

The team has shown they know what they’re doing by successfully completing Phase I, and keeping them on board ensures we maintain that momentum. Their plans for Phase II demonstrate they’re ready to keep delivering value, with a well-justified budget and a strong emphasis on transparency that aligns with our DAO’s values. We’ve also been impressed by their regular communication through calls and open discussions throughout Phase I.

To add to this, we agree with Jojo’s point about the importance of continuity in this case.

I am strongly against any new election. While I think there could be others that potentially have the knowledge to move this forward (even tho 90% of the lawyerish force of arbitrum is in the parties above), even just the handover, and the reshape of vision, would literally eat on the whole mandate time wise with suboptimal results.

As Jojo mentioned, even just the handover and reshaping of vision for a new team would eat up a lot of the mandate time, leading to suboptimal results. The current team’s experience and established processes are valuable assets that will allow them to continue in Phase II.

Overall, we believe that extending the ADPC’s tenure is the right move for Arbitrum DAO, allowing for continued progress and efficiency in our procurement process.

2. [Pyth Network] Arbitrum LTIPP Extension Request

We’re voting AGAINST this proposal.

The extension request comes during the Incentives Detox period, and we think it’s important to stick to the original LTIPP timeline. This will help us better understand how the program performed. We get that the motivation and reasons in the proposal make sense, and we like seeing incentives used wisely. But for the greater good of the DAO, we believe we need to say no this time.

There are a couple more things to think about. First, only 75K ARB tokens were used out of the 1M ARB allocated. This really shows we need to rethink our incentives and how we handle them. Also, allowing this extension might not be fair to other projects who didn’t know they could ask for one. While we appreciate Pyth Network’s work, we think staying on track with our plans to review and improve our incentive programs is the right move for now.

3. Enhancing Multichain Governance: Upgrading RARI Governance Token on Arbitrum

Lampros Labs DAO supports this proposal to upgrade the RARI token contract and transition its governance into the Arbitrum ecosystem. This is a positive step that will onboard another community into the Arbitrum network, contributing to the overall growth and development of the ecosystem. We believe this alignment between the RARI DAO and Arbitrum DAO will be mutually beneficial for both communities.

As we said before, Lampros Labs DAO supports upgrading the RARI token contract and moving its governance to the Arbitrum ecosystem. We think this will help bring another community into Arbitrum, which is good for everyone.

It’s great to see that the Arbitrum Foundation has started a technical audit of the code that will make this happen. We still believe this will be good for both RARI DAO and Arbitrum DAO, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it all works out.

We are voting AGAINST this proposal.

We recognize that extensions are often considered for incentive programs, and we acknowledge the compelling reasons provided in this proposal. However, given our current focus on the Detox of Incentives, we believe it’s important to adhere to the timeline originally proposed in the LTIPP. This approach will allow for a more comprehensive evaluation of the program’s performance. Additionally, we’re concerned that approving this extension might be unfair to projects unaware of this option. We look forward to seeing the results of the initial LTIPP and using those insights to form future decisions.

5. Fund the Stylus Sprint

We’re voting FOR this proposal as we believe it’s a necessary step for Stylus adoption.

The idea of having an Evaluation Committee made up of Stylus experts is a good approach. We also agree with giving out funds based on milestones, as this will help prevent misuse.

To make this sprint really successful, we suggest running a strong marketing campaign to attract as many developers as possible. It would be great to showcase the Stylus Sprint at ArbiVerse during Art Museum Token2049 - this could help get more people to apply.

Overall, we think this program can really speed up the adoption of Stylus by creating a set of high-quality projects that show what it can do.

We think this proposal is a good move for the DAO. It aims to get more people actively involved in delegation and governance, which should be a key goal for us. We support the idea of making the DAO more inclusive and decentralized.

This proposal helps solve a big problem in that it gives a voice to people who are very interested in the community but don’t have enough funds to make a difference in voting. By removing this money barrier, we can tap into the ideas and energy of many more community members.

To make this even better, we suggest creating a simple, easy-to-use interface. This would make it easier for users to vote and stay active, removing any technical obstacles that might stop people from participating.

Overall, we believe this proposal can help make our DAO stronger and more representative of our whole community.
