- The requested funds will be allocated towards community engagement initiatives to significantly increase trading volume and user activity on Arbitrum.
- Collab.Land has 1M+ user wallets verified with us that hold tokens on Arbitrum
- Telefrens is our token-trading initiative to activate those users and bring them to trading through Collab.Land channels on Telegram
- unknown customer acquisition cost CAC, plan is to create a reducing price point to achieve price discovery of CAC
- presumed CAC of ~5-10 USD = ~2.5-5 ARB
- starting point of 5 ARB/user, reduced biweekly while ensuring continual achievement of KPI of 10% customer growth/2 weeks resulting in ~175% growth after 12 weeks
- at presumed cost of 5 ARB/user 50k ARB allows acquisition of 5k users from our identified pool of 1M wallets
- 5 ARB in direct to user incentives + 5 ARB to select communities for marketing messaging
- aka (0.5%) conversion from free Collab.Land users to paid Telefrens users making transactions through Collab.Land’s smart accounts on Arbitrum via Telefrens

- CAC: Users who create + fund their smart account by purchasing their Soulbound NFT on Arbitrum and complete 3 trades using Telefrens are eligible for 2.5 ARB initially with reward reducing over time to allow us to do CAC discovery
- Or invite 3 other users who create + fund their smart accounts and make at least one trade via Telefrens
- Community incentives 50%
- We will provide incentives to select communities we are working with (Aavegotchi is the first community we have approached) to allow direct marketing on community surfaces about Telefrens
- After members verify their wallets in those communities (standard Colalb.Land flow) they receive an ephemeral message letting them know they are eligible to claim Telefrens points and start the onboarding process to Telefrens by buying their Soulbound NFT

SECTION 4: GRANT OBJECTIVES, EXECUTION AND MILESTONES
Clearly outline the primary objectives of the program and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), execution strategy, and milestones used to measure success. This helps reviewers understand what the program aims to achieve and how progress will be assessed.
Objectives: [Clearly state the primary objectives of the grant and what you intend to achieve]
- To increase user engagement and trading volume on Arbitrum by leveraging Collab.Land’s significant online presence for trading via Telefrens.
Execution Strategy: [Describe the plan for executing including token distribution method (e.g. farming, staking, bonds, referral program, etc), what you are incentivizing, resources, products, use of funds, and risk management. This includes allocations for specific pools, eligible assets, products, etc.]
- We plan to incentivize trading on Arbitrum through the Collab.Land interface and the Telefrens project, focusing on user-friendly trading experiences and community engagement.
- Direct to user incentives promote trading via Telefrens app for any tokens on Arbitrum
- dynamically determine CAC through reducing rewards direct to users over the course of 12 weeks of incentivized usage of Telefrens
- we have deployed pools for COLLAB on Camelot Finance, looking to make BD partnerships with other token projects to funnel users to their token pools via community messaging on Collab.Land surfaces and through trading with Telefrens
- We plan to use community funds to pool with partner projects and drive trading through the pool to build sustainable revenue for communities through user trading on Aribtrum
- up to 5 partner communities each can pool with up to 5k ARB to bootstrap attention and liquidity for their tokens on Arbitrum if not yet deployed to Arbitrum
- User trades are incentivized with ARB rewards for trades through partnered projects’ token pools via Telefrens app
- We aim to bootstrap 10% user growth of Telefrens every 2 weeks with incentives
- user growth tracked biweekly in accordance with KPIs before emitting incentives for claiming by users
What mechanisms within the incentive design will you implement to incentivize “stickiness” whether it be users, liquidity or some other targeted metric? [Provide relevant design and implementation details]
- Telefrens is set up to incentivize users to share trade links and activate through notification when links are used to trade via notificaiton from Telefrens bot in Telegram.
- Viral mechanics from Telegram forwarding to social contacts and group chat sharing will see many users spread trade links for assets they believe in this early bull cycle.
- Reactivation via notification from the Telefrens bot when links are used to trade and users earn 1% of trades in ETH and ARB incentives and Telefrens points
Specify the KPIs that will be used to measure success in achieving the grant objectives and designate a source of truth for governance to use to verify accuracy. [Please also justify why these specific KPIs will indicate that the grant has met its objective. Distribution of the grant itself should not be one of the KPIs.]
- Increased trading volume on Arbitrum through incentivized pools, higher user engagement metrics on Collab.Land, and growth in the community around Arbitrum native assets as measured by active wallets verified by Collab.Land.
- We seek to increase Telefrens DAU by 10%/2 weeks, with our biweekly reviews ensuring we remain on track
Grant Timeline and Milestones: [Describe the timeline for the grant, including ideal milestones with respective KPIs. Include at least one milestone that shows progress en route to a final outcome. Please justify the feasibility of these milestones.]
- before incentives launch:
- completion of user interviews
- creation of product storyboards for user testing
- new product interface for trading referrals
- 1 Partnership with Arbitrum communties to incentivize trading pools on Arbitrum
- 10% Telefrens Weekly User Growth reviewed every 2 weeks
- 33% Weekly User increase by end of week 6
How will receiving a grant enable you to foster growth or innovation within the Arbitrum ecosystem? [Clearly explain how the inputs of your program justify the expected benefits to the DAO. Be very clear and tangible, and you must back up your claims with data]
- Incentives to earn 1% of trades in ETH, Telefrens points, and ARB rewards will supercharge user activity of sharing trade links with each other
- we have seen 50k USD in trade volume through COLLAB token pools on Arbitrum via Telefrens from ads on Collab.Land surfaces
- Token price impact https://dune.com/telefrens/collab-arbitrum
Do you accept the funding of your grant streamed linearly for the duration of your grant proposal, and that the multisig holds the power to halt your stream?
- Yes
SECTION 5: Data and Reporting
OpenBlock Labs has developed a comprehensive data and reporting checklist for tracking essential metrics across participating protocols. Teams must adhere to the specifications outlined in the provided link here: Onboarding Checklist from OBL. Along with this list, please answer the following:
Is your team prepared to comply with OBL’s data requirements for the entire life of the program and three months following and then handoff to the Arbitrum DAO? Are there any special requests/considerations that should be considered?
- Yes
Does your team agree to provide bi-weekly program updates on the Arbitrum Forum thread that reference your OBL dashboard? [Please describe your strategy and capabilities for data/reporting]
- Yes, we will create a Dune dashboard to display the requested data and make updates to the forum thread
First Offense: *In the event that a project does not provide a bi-weekly update, they will be reminded by an involved party (council, advisor, or program manager). Upon this reminder, the project is given 72 hours to complete the requirement or their funding will be halted.
Second Offense: Discussion with an involved party (advisor, pm, council member) that will lead to understanding if funds should keep flowing or not.
Third Offense: Funding is halted permanently
Does your team agree to provide a final closeout report not later than two weeks from the ending date of your program? This report should include summaries of work completed, final cost structure, whether any funds were returned, and any lessons the grantee feels came out of this grant. Where applicable, be sure to include final estimates of acquisition costs of any users, developers, or assets onboarded to Arbitrum chains. (NOTE: No future grants from this program can be given until a closeout report is provided.)
- Yes
Does your team acknowledge that failure to comply with any of the above requests can result in the halting of the program’s funding stream?:
- Yes
