GM Arbitrum community,

We’re excited to share that Cyfrin, represented by Patrick Collins, is officially applying for a position on the Arbitrum Security Council.

As a company deeply involved in the Web3 security space, we are proud to have recently been accepted into the Arbitrum Audit Program (AAP) as a whitelisted auditor. This recognition reflects our ongoing contributions to the Arbitrum community, not only through security services but also through educational content created specifically for Arbitrum developers on Cyfrin Updraft.

Our goal is to now contribute at the foundational level by helping safeguard the network’s core infrastructure.

Cyfrin exists to make Web3 safer for everyone. Our work focuses on four main pillars:

  • Conducting in-depth smart contract audits for major protocols and chains

  • Providing advisory services on protocol design, threat modelling, and mitigation strategies

  • Offering free education to developers and security researchers through Cyfrin Updraft

  • Building and maintaining open-source security tooling to benefit the broader ecosystem

We have helped secure over $40 billion in total value locked across some of the most widely used protocols in Web3, including Securitize, World Liberty Financial, Libre Capital, Uniswap, Metamask, Ethena, Ondo, Chainlink, Wormhole, and many others. We take a deeply technical and hands-on approach to audits, incident response, and protocol security. This means not just issuing reports, but actively contributing to safer design patterns and scalable practices.

In addition to providing security audits, we offer advisory services to ZKsync, Story Protocol & Strata Money.

This experience, alongside our existing role within the Arbitrum ecosystem, makes us a strong fit for the Security Council. If elected, we commit to:

  • Being highly available and responsive during critical upgrades and emergency windows. As a global team, we are always available to provide support to the ecosystem in times of emergency.

  • Applying rigorous, independent technical review processes based on years of practical experience. Our wide range of experience provides us with hands-on experience in critical situations.

  • Communicating transparently and responsibly with the DAO and community. Responsible for a developer community of 100,000 developers, we recognize the importance of maintaining transparency and communication with the broader ecosystem.

Everything we stand for at Cyfrin is about making Web3 a safer place. We are ready to bring that dedication to the Security Council to support Arbitrum as it continues to grow.

I’ve had the pleasure of serving alongside Patrick Collins on the Security Councils for both ZkSync and Story Protocol, and he’s consistently gone the extra mile in advocating for proactive security — even when it means going against the grain to do what he feels is right.

He’s done incredible work on transaction verification tooling and security education, and brings deep expertise to any council where those functions are critical.

As someone currently on the Arbitrum Security Council, I’d love to have him join us.
