Overview
This document summarizes the work completed under the grant for the development and integration of Lagoon Finance (built by Hopperlabs) on the Arbitrum network. The integration of Arbitrum into Lagoon aimed to provide a seamless, self-custodial, decentralized asset management solution for DeFi users. By supporting multi-chain asset management, this integration allows Arbitrum curators to attract TVL from other chains while ensuring secure, flexible, and customizable governance.
Key tasks completed include the deployment of the ProtocolRegistry, the implementation of Gnosis Safe for vault management, and the incorporation of Zodiac Role Modifiers to enhance governance flexibility within Lagoon Vaults. These components facilitate advanced asset management strategies while offering scalability for future growth and adoption in the Arbitrum ecosystem.

Summary of Work Completed:
- ProtocolRegistry Deployment: We successfully deployed the ProtocolRegistry contract, a core component shared across all vaults on the chain. This contract allows the definition and management of fees associated with each vault, offering an efficient way to customize and update fee structures.:

- Security and Technical Audits: The initial version of our contracts, including the ProtocolRegistry, underwent an audit by Nethermind, which provided critical validation of the security and functionality of our system.
Audit Report - Integration Challenges: Throughout the integration process, we encountered no significant obstacles. The development and deployment processes went smoothly, aided by the stability and adaptability of the tools and frameworks we utilized.
- Roadmap for Continued Development: Moving forward, we plan to continue expanding Lagoon’s vaults on Arbitrum, focusing on enabling vault creation by curators and facilitating the seamless integration of Arbitrum-specific protocols into the system.
Conclusion
The grant objectives have been successfully met, setting a solid foundation for the next steps in Lagoon’s and Arbitrum’s growth.
Milestones reaches:
- Audited MVP with post-audit fixes implemented
- Hopper deployed on Arbitrum with all end-user interfaces and branding.
- Vault deployment, seeding of the Vault, whitelisting of Arbitrum-specific Protocol
The integration with Arbitrum has progressed as planned, and we are well-positioned to begin offering vault creation services to curators. Our focus will now shift toward expanding adoption and refining the platform to support a growing range of users and DeFi protocols.
