March 2025 Compliance Check Phase

The Compliance Check phase of the March 2025 Security Council election process has commenced.

What is the Nominee Selection phase?

  • During this phase, the @arbitrum Foundation will conduct compliance checks on the 13 qualified candidates to make sure they comply with legal requirements, service agreements, and additional rules dictated by the Constitution.
  • Candidates who pass the compliance checks will qualify for the Member Election phase (commencing on April 12th).

  • 13 candidates received enough support to reach this phase, check them out on Tally.
  • Be sure to attend the Member Election AMA on April 11 at 15:00 UTC (via the governance calendar) to hear from the candidates.

What is the Security Council?

  • The Security Council is a committee of 12 members who are signers of a multi-sig wallet. They are responsible for combatting any critical risks associated with the Arbitrum protocol by making time-sensitive & emergency response decisions. Accordingly, the Security Council is key to securing the Arbitrum ecosystem.
  • Security Council Elections are held every 6 months, and allow the DAO to elect 6 new Security Council members.
  • Actively participating in Security Council Elections is one of the most important responsibilities of the ArbitrumDAO.
