Recommendations for Improving the DAO’s Grant Programs

Thank you, @CastleCapital, for the thorough report and recommendations. The Domain Allocators have done an impressive job, especially given the bandwidth constraints they faced.

The report highlights a critical issue: Domain Allocators’ workloads scaled unevenly, resulting in review backlogs, inconsistent feedback across projects, and communication inefficiencies. These challenges understandably led to frustration and complaints among applicants.

Furthermore, a previous report, Entropy’s Questbook DDA report, noted that applicants expressed a strong desire for more formal collaboration networks within the DAO. Building cross-project synergies and partnerships could greatly enhance the quality of projects and their overall impact on the Arbitrum ecosystem.

With Season 3 now officially underway (as of yesterday), this feels like the right moment to consider introducing additional support or process improvements to help Domain Allocators manage their workloads more effectively. As we plan for future seasons, it’s worth exploring how the program can be redesigned to address these bottlenecks and ensure applicants receive the support, feedback, and collaborative opportunities they need to thrive and be aligned with Arbitrum.

Would love to hear thoughts from the Domain Allocators themselves on what type of support would be most helfpul!
