[Vertex Protocol] [FINAL] [STIP - Round 1]

Thanks for the reply!

There will always be subjective differences in governance, and that causes debates that will move us all forward. It is no mean feat to strike a balance between rewarding those who built the chain’s success and those who are very well poised to take on the next hurdles all in the same breath.

I also understand that before looking outward and collaborating you would want to build a solid and robust product.

As you can see from our value scoring, we see Vertex’s CLOB as highly effective and innovative, so your ‘Unconsidered Points’ are very much considered.

We have heavily knocked down our recommendations for the majority of perp DEXs. Vertex currently sits joint 3rd in our internal recommendation of ARB across all proposals and is still being reviewed internally.

I see - curious what your recommended amt for us would be and whether you have a public table of recommendations so we can take a look at your thinking across applications? Would be good for us to see!

Blockworks Research supports this proposal and finds the updated request of a maximum of 3M ARB to be justified based on, among other things, the anticipated sustainable impact on, and goodwill to, the ecosystem, metrics such as TVL / volume / fees on Arbitrum and overall, a comparative analysis of all submitted STIP proposals, the distribution of incentives across verticals, as well as, to a certain extent, the recommendations made by the Arbitrum Working Group through the four grant categories.

you’re asking 400k for fusion pools, something that is not even live, is that correct?

Yes as fusion pools are slated to be live in a few weeks. Elixir is one of the strongest teams building in this space and it is huge for the Arbitrum ecosystem that their first integration will be with Vertex on Arbitrum

Also, should any issues arise, we will of course return this portion of the grant ask. This is similar to some other proposals which have allocated for supporting protocols with integrations, etc.

Vertex Protocol has successfully proven its ability to attract users, liquidity providers, and trading volume by providing a highly professional trading experience on Arbitrum. The grant size is on the high end, however, we like that it scales with the success of the program and that any unused funds will be returned. Overall, the grant objectives align with the goals of the STIP; reduced fees will put Vertex ahead of CEX competitors and hopefully migrate users; incentivizing the democratization of order book LPing adds another bit of infrastructure to Arbitrum within an already successful protocol.

We look forward to supporting Vertex’s grant application!

Vertex Protocol Summary Stats:

  • 4th largest Derivatives DEX by Cumulative Volume - $8b
  • 8th largest protocol by 30D fees - $485k
  • 6,203 total unique depositors

Highly support this proposal from Vertex. Hands down the highest potential dex on Arbitrum.

As an Arbitrum native DEX, Vertex might have a serious impact on the increase in TVL and users on Arbitrum. The reward program is such an effective idea that it has also been seen as an attractor of users at Arbitrum. Our discussion is concluded with the vote “FOR” this proposal. We need an update on the reward program and metrics as evidence. Thank you for being community based and following the incentive provider protocol.
