Ongoing Onchain Proposals
1. Adopt Timeboost + Nova Fee Sweep (Voting starts Mar 13)
This proposal covers 2 actions - the adoption of Timeboost and a Nova Fee Sweep action.
Timeboost introduces a new transaction ordering policy for Arbitrum One and Nova. Timeboost enables auctions for the rights to an express lane on both Arbitrum One and Nova, giving the winner a time advantage for tx inclusion. Bid proceeds in ETH will be sent to the DAO Treasury.
The Nova Fee Sweep action will forward historical transaction fees to the ArbitrumDAO Treasury, a task leftover from the Nova Fee Router Proposal.
The exact timestamp of the proposed rollout of Arbitrum One and Arbitrum Nova is estimated to be done within 5 business days after the vote gets executed (assuming it passes).
2. Arbitrum Onboarding V2: A Governance Bootcamp (Voting starts Mar 13)
This proposal by the Onboarding Working Group (WG) aims to run a selective training program designed to onboard high-quality governance contributors to Arbitrum with $172K.
Key components include a series of workshops led by high-context DAO stakeholders, hands-on exercises, and dedicated office hours hosted by the WG to provide a personal, high-touch experience for participants.
Participants who successfully graduate will be matched with an Arbitrum protocol or service provider to support their governance needs.
Completed Onchain Proposals
1. Request to Increase the Stylus Sprint Committee’s Budget
The DAO has approved the request to Increase the Stylus Sprint Committee’s Budget by 4M to fund 9 additional applications, with 5 applications under the Open Application track and 4 applications under the RFP track.
With 147 applications and ~31.92 million ARB in funding requests, demand for the Stylus Sprint program significantly exceeded expectations. The committee received a large number of exceptional applications, but unfortunately, due to the initial budget constraints, the committee was only able to fund 17 applications.
With Stylus as one of Arbitrum’s strongest competitive advantages, the committee believes that funding all impressive applications from Stylus Sprint is a worthwhile investment for the DAO is a worthwhile investment for the DAO.
Ongoing Temperature Checks
1. TMC Recommendation (Voting ends Mar 13)
The Treasury Management Committee (TMC), as part of their mandate in the DAO approved Treasury Management v1.2 proposal, has proposed allocation options for 25M ARB to focus on passive yield via ARB-only onchain strategies and create a cash-like reserve with a management strategy to cover service provider shortfalls.
The allocation options include:
Stablecoin Allocation: Converting 15M ARB tokens to stablecoins and managing these assets for DAO liquidity needs across Karpatkey, Avantgarde & Myso, and Gauntlet equally,
ARB Allocation: Deploying 10M ARB tokens into on-chain strategies designed to generate yield while safeguarding the principal across Karpatkey and Avantgarde & Myso.
The TMC has recommended a vote of YES for the Stablecoin Allocation and NO for the ARB Allocation.
