Onchain Proposals
1. (V2) Arbitrum Research & Development Collective (Voting ends on Nov 14, Thursday)
The proposal requests 1.73M USDC (+ 180k ARB for the Supervisory Council budget) for V2 of the ARDC. The ARDC aims to continue aligning with ArbitrumDAO’s strategic priorities, focusing on governance optimization and future-proofing through industry-leading research providers. This iteration of the ARDC will include:
An elected Supervisory Council of 3 (replacing the previous DAO Advocate role) to provide comprehensive oversight, strategic alignment, and effective day-to-day operations for the ARDC; as well as separately elected Risk, Security, and Research-oriented members.
A retainer model for Cost-Effectiveness, where 1/5 of the total cap allocated to each working member’s role will be paid upfront, and the remaining 4/5 tied to project-based deliverables which will be paid in phases: 50% upon commencement of each task, and the final 50% upon successful completion of the task.
An Extension Option for the ARDC Term: Introducing the possibility to extend the ARDC’s term by an additional six 6 months, pending approval through a Snapshot proposal. This brings the potential total term to one 1 year (which this proposal has already budgeted for).

2. Establishing a DAO Events Budget for 2025 (Voting ends on Nov 14, Thursday)
The proposal aims to establish a budget of 4M ARB (to be converted into $1.5M by the Arbitrum Foundation, with any excess being returned) for DAO events in 2025 to support Arbitrum’s presence at major industry events and facilitate in-person initiatives to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency.
The initiative will focus on delegate gatherings and ecosystem growth events (coinciding with major conferences), with a process for selecting event providers, ensuring alignment with the broader ecosystem, and distributing post-event reports.
