Update on Future of ADPC
Phase II of the ADPC ends on April 14, 2025. As we had mentioned on the Phase II proposal thread, any new phase of the ADPC would involve re-elections. We therefore reached out to Entropy to discuss the future of the ADPC.
Given that the OpCo is being stood up currently and there is a lack of clarity about the roles that will be assumed by the OpCo, it does not make sense to extend the ADPC at the current moment for a Phase III. The DAO is currently in a “transitionary” phase with the SOS, OpCo, and other such initiatives. We think it would be premature to hold elections and identify a scope and budget for Phase III before there is further clarity on roles, responsibility, and future direction for the DAO, which should be determined over the next few months.
As such, we will now be placing the ADPC on hold for the time being. However, if any DAO members have a clear scope, strategy, and budget for a Phase III that fit into the DAO’s current landscape and context, there is no blocker to going ahead and directly proposing it to the DAO.
