Agnes Delegation Communication Thread

I am Agnes, the community manager of ArbitrumNewsDAO (ANDAO). I have been working for ANDAO for 3 years. Since we operate on a donation-based model and do not charge our service recipients, our funding has always been tight, and we have been without income for quite some time.

After team discussions, we decided that each team member would independently participate in the DIP v1.5 to secure the necessary survival income. This way, we can continue to sustain ANDAO’s operations without compromising its original mission.

I will share my all opinions about voting here. Thanks for delegating your ARB to me and I will be responsible for it!

The Watchdog: Arbitrum DAO’s Grant Misuse Bounty Program

Vote: For

Any effective policy requires a good supervision mechanism, otherwise it will be like what Hayek said, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I support this proposal. We need such a supervision mechanism that doesn’t fear retaliation from bad guys and can get rewards.

Proposal for Piloting Enhancements and Strengthening the Sustainability of ArbitrumHub in the Year Ahead

Vote: Against

I don’t deny the contribution that ArbitrumHub has made to Arbitrum, but the budget requested in the proposal is too much. I think the budget required for Arbitrumhub is too high for a non-profit organization, it should keep costs as low as possible, so I voted against it for now.

Arbitrum Strategic Objective Setting (SOS) – Defining the DAO’s Interim Goals

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. This is a proposal that the DAO has been waiting for a long time. As far as I know, other L2s have not yet achieved such extreme decentralization. Even the future development goals are handed over to DAO to create. I think this is a milestone progress. I always believe that decentralization can’t make a project the best, but it will definitely prevent the project from becoming the worst.

Approve the Nova Fee Sweep Action

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. This proposal would bring together all fees generated on Arbitrum Nova, which would be helpful in deciding how to allocate these funds in the future.

Request to Increase the Stylus Sprint Committee’s Budget

Vote: Against

I disagree with this proposal. I think the budget for this program has already been fixed. If we want to increase the budget, we should not just tell Arbitrum DAO that we have received a large number of application requests, so we need to increase the budget. Instead, we should write another detailed proposal to report clearly whether the previous funds have been implemented, what role they have played, and what growth the Arbitrum DAO has achieved.

Arbitrum Growth Circles Event Proposal

Vote: Against

I disagree with this proposal. This proposal can be funded by a Grant. After all, the budget is only $67.2k USD. There is no need for a vote, which is a waste of DAO’s attention.

[CONSTITUTIONAL] AIP: ArbOS Version 40 Callisto

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. I always support the technical team centered around offchain labs in upgrading the technology of the arbitrum network.

Arbitrum Audit Program

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. This is a very practical proposal. When I was operating the X account of ArbitrumNewsDAO, I often encountered many requests for help from new projects that had not undergone security audits. Sometimes I hesitated whether to help them forward the publicity. @Larva’s view is to offer unconditional support for all projects on Arbitrum, while my view is more conservative. I hope they are legal projects that have undergone security audits, otherwise I would be worried. It so great now Arbitrum DAO is setting up a program specifically to help projects with security audits. This would definitely be a great help to the innovation and prosperity of the Arbitrum ecosystem.

OpCo: A DAO-adjacent Entity for Strategy Execution

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. This proposal aims to provide Arbitrum DAO with a more efficient execution platform, PoCo. Currently, Arbitrum DAO faces many problems, such as high communication costs. It takes a very long time for a proposal to go from idea to implementation, and it requires contacting many different people. Proposers often do not have the patience and motivation to push this matter until it is implemented, so many good ideas often end in vain. Although the existence of OpCo is likely to cause DAO to become centralized to a certain extent, it is very helpful in solving the problems currently faced by Arbitrum DAO.

Non-Constitutional: Stable Treasury Endowment Program 2.0

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. I think the current market is very fragile, and it is necessary for Arbitrum DAO to convert part of ARB into stablecoin and other more stable assets, otherwise Arbitrum DAO’s future development will face many funding problems, especially when this bull market cycle is about to end.

Arbitrum D.A.O. (Domain Allocator Offerings) Grant Program - Season 3

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. I think the effect of Grant Program - Season 1 and Season 2 is not very good. The activity of Arbitrum ecosystem has continued to decline in the past two years. Of course, this can’t be said to be entirely the problem of Grant Program, but I think Grant managers should bear some responsibility. In the past two years, we can see that many popular protocols have emerged in other ecosystems, such as pump.fun. Although they have only very minor innovations, their influence is enough to revitalize the entire Solana ecosystem. When will we have such a protocol on Arbitrum? I think Grant managers need to change their mind, not always focusing on those great narratives, but should pay more attention to those products loved by users, and provide them with the initial Grant.

Request to Increase the Stylus Sprint Committee’s Budget

Vote: For

I agree with this proposal. After communicating and discussing with long-termists in the ecosystem, I changed my vote on Snapshot. Although I still think my point of view is reasonable, for the current Arbitrum ecosystem, we urgently need some liquidity easing policies to give some substantial support and encouragement to the builders in the ecosystem. At this time, it is reasonable to increase the budget for some high-quality projects. I hope this move can bring new vitality to the Arbitrum ecosystem.
