Directional Temp Check

We posted a Directional Temperature Check to kick off discussions about an approach to staging the execution of Arbitrum Ventures. The conversations have been incredibly valuable, bringing in a wealth of high-quality feedback. Thank you to everyone who has taken part! These insights have been essential in refining our recommendations, helping us better align with the DAO’s goals. They’ve also highlighted areas where clarity was needed, allowing us to provide more contextual articles to support the DAO in evaluating the methods we’re proposing.

Based on these conversations, we have also created an FAQ here.

Staging Options for Governance and Oversight

Through the discussions sparked in the Direction Temp Check, we received considerable interest and questions about our oversight plans. In response, we prioritized creating detailed content that outlines the recommended Governance and Oversight Staging for Arbitrum Ventures. This content explains key considerations, a staging execution plan, and next steps.

Released Deliverable Content

In addition, we created the Deliverables Hub, a centralized resource that explains the purpose of each deliverable, how they connect, and provides links to all released content. Alongside the Temp Check, FAQ, and Governance/Oversight Staging Options, we’ve also published the following articles since the last update:

Strategic Recommendation Articles:

Thesis Articles:

Farstar Profile:

Each deliverable is thoughtfully designed to build on the previous ones, with the aim of creating a cohesive and interconnected roadmap that is easy to understand. We have multiple documents in the works, but the current plan is for our next article rollout to include:

  • Evergreen Fund of Funds
  • Community Engagement Report
  • Continued development of the Directional Temp Check FAQs
  • Mini-Thesis: Token Tooling

While this is the current content strategy, we’re staying flexible, adjusting priorities as new needs and insights emerge from our conversations with the community and stakeholders.

Market Consultations

As discussed in our last update, we’ve already successfully finished the pilot’s market consultations, and the insights gained have shaped our thesis and strategic recommendations. However, we’ve continued these discussions, not just to continue gaining up-to-date insights but also to sustain and grow the strong pipeline of opportunities we’ve been building.

Through these efforts, we’ve identified several promising deals that align with the core pillars of the AVI thesis which will continue evolving over time to ensure AVI stays responsive to emerging trends and the ecosystem’s changing needs.

Delegate and Stakeholder Engagement

To continue the refinement and ensure alignment, we are maintaining open communication with delegates and stakeholders. This includes gathering feedback, addressing concerns, and incorporating their input to align strategies with the DAO’s goals. We are also working on providing updates and context to keep stakeholders informed and engaged as our initiatives progress.

Upcoming Goals

  • Main objective: Drive consensus on establishing the staging and oversight around the setup of the CapCo
    • Definition and setup of the Interim Expert Council
    • Operational Plan for Phase 2
    • Scope and Mandate of Farstar and other involved contributors
  • Additionally, we will continue releasing deliverable content and facilitating discussions
    • Namely around the ecosystem development investment thesis and how it interplays with the various mini-theses and strategic recommendations for bringing the full vision to life.
