Hello Arbitrum DAO,

The goal of this forum post is to establish a hub for the deliverables from the Arbitrum Venture Initiative (AVI) pilot, providing a dedicated space where all AVI-related content can be found.

Our Plan for Rolling Out Deliverables

We’re breaking things down and releasing content in a step by step process to make sure the content is digestible and everyone has the chance to engage meaningfully without being overwhelmed. It also helps us make sure contributions are contextually grounded and provides us with more time to address questions in a thoughtful and deliberate manner.

This approach is also allowing us to clearly illustrate how each deliverable fits together. We have four major reports, each designed to stand on its own while also interlinking. Here’s an overview of the deliverables to create context before going into how we’re releasing things:

  1. Thesis: This is the high-level overview of the opportunity space that will serve as a foundation to build on and evolve. It is an ongoing process rather than a one-time effort.

    • Goal: Shows how each mini-thesis within it work together in a self-reinforcing flywheel.

  2. Market Consultation Report: This provides the data and validation behind our suggestions.

    • Goal: Shows where Arbitrum is now, where it should be headed based on feedback, and how it stands within the broader market.

  3. Strategic Recommendations: This is where we outline practical steps to achieve the thesis.

    • Goal: Highlights how the investment vehicles complement and sustain one another.

  4. Operational Budget and Plan: This covers the nuts and bolts of how to implement the roadmap.

    • Goal: Shows the practical implications of following the suggested plan.

Types of Content to Expect

As mentioned above, we are using a phased approach that equips the community to meaningfully engage with the deliverables. Each piece of content builds on the last to establish clear and important connections.

This take the form of:

1. Context Setting: Laying groundwork by explaining key concepts from the reports. These provide the foundational context needed to understand our approach.

2. Mini-Theses: Expanding on the Context Setting articles by connecting them to actionable pathways for implementation. These pieces also clearly connect strategic recommendations with the thesis and market consultation which have informed them.

3. Visual Presentations: Summarizing the Practical Step Recommendations in a reader-friendly junctions that connect specific strategic recommendations to the overarching thesis. Makes the complex material concise for those who want to stay informed without diving into the full material.

4. Separate Deliverable Reports: Illustrating the full vision from different levels of analysis, as listed in the section above.
