We have voted FOR this proposal - we believe the justifications provided by the STEP committee on their preferred allocations reflects the right balance of costs, risks and returns, whilst conforming to the broader goal of supporting RWA growth on Arbitrum. More so, we feel comfortable relying on the decision making of the STEP committee who we voted in due to their expertise and track record on treasury management within and outside of ArbitrumDAO.

Proposal: The Watchdog: Arbitrum DAO’s Grant Misuse Bounty Program

Rationale: This proposal seeks to allocate 400k ARB to establish a bounty program that incentivizes whistleblowing against misuse of DAO-allocated funds. For us, this proposal is a step in the right direction and we’re happy to see it being given priority at this time. From our experience, we’ve learned that preventing waste is key to ensuring effective capital allocation in DAOs. In designing the program, we would like to see adequate measures being taken to protect the privacy of whistleblowers and mechanisms for detecting and filtering out malicious actors who raise false alarms against others. The whole process should be treated with sensitivity. We are nonetheless excited to see what comes out of this and we will be voting in support.

Rationale: We appreciate the Foundation’s continuous efforts to bring improvements to the Arbitrum ecosystem, ensuring the protocol stays ahead of the competition. The proposed upgrade, “Callisto,” aims to equip Arbitrum with support for key execution layer changes from the ongoing Ethereum “Pectra” upgrade. This includes enabling EOAs to natively execute smart contracts and introducing other efficiency improvements. We believe this aligns Arbitrum with leading standards and further reinforces its position as an Ethereum-aligned ecosystem. Therefore, we will be voting FOR this proposal.

Proposal: DeFi Renaissance Incentive Program (DRIP)

Rationale: This proposal seeks to allocate 80M to the DeFi Renaissance Incentive Program (DRIP). The program aims to distribute 20M ARB worth of user incentives across four three-month seasons targeted at specific assets/activities. We have expressed our rationale in the proposal thread below:
