Lampros DAO is an open community of builders and governance enthusiasts committed to transparency, decentralization, and inclusivity. Our mission is to empower new web3 builders, enhancing their skills and knowledge, to drive deeper decentralization in the ecosystem. Through active participation in governance and collaborative efforts, we strive to create a more transparent, inclusive, and resilient web3 landscape.

As a delegate of Arbitrum DAO, we are committed to contributing to the long-term success and decentralization of the Arbitrum ecosystem.

Lampros DAO’s involvement in the Arbitrum DAO will be handled by a team of dedicated members from our DAO who are:

The proposed increase in the timelock delay for core upgrades is a positive step, aligning with the direction L2s are moving towards. This change follows L2Beat’s recommendations, and the shift from red to yellow status is a good signal for Arbitrum.

We went through the L2Beat website and noticed that zkSync Lite already has a yellow slice, so joining them in this status would be beneficial.

We also believe it’s important to define emergency situations clearly and as much as possible with current knowledge. This will help the Security Council make more informed and deterministic decisions when needed.

We’re voting FOR this proposal to extend the ADPC’s tenure into Phase II.

The team has shown they know what they’re doing by successfully completing Phase I, and keeping them on board ensures we maintain that momentum. Their plans for Phase II demonstrate they’re ready to keep delivering value, with a well-justified budget and a strong emphasis on transparency that aligns with our DAO’s values. We’ve also been impressed by their regular communication through calls and open discussions throughout Phase I.

To add to this, we agree with Jojo’s point about the importance of continuity in this case.

I am strongly against any new election. While I think there could be others that potentially have the knowledge to move this forward (even tho 90% of the lawyerish force of arbitrum is in the parties above), even just the handover, and the reshape of vision, would literally eat on the whole mandate time wise with suboptimal results.

As Jojo mentioned, even just the handover and reshaping of vision for a new team would eat up a lot of the mandate time, leading to suboptimal results. The current team’s experience and established processes are valuable assets that will allow them to continue in Phase II.

Overall, we believe that extending the ADPC’s tenure is the right move for Arbitrum DAO, allowing for continued progress and efficiency in our procurement process.

We’re voting AGAINST this proposal.

The extension request comes during the Incentives Detox period, and we think it’s important to stick to the original LTIPP timeline. This will help us better understand how the program performed. We get that the motivation and reasons in the proposal make sense, and we like seeing incentives used wisely. But for the greater good of the DAO, we believe we need to say no this time.

There are a couple more things to think about. First, only 75K ARB tokens were used out of the 1M ARB allocated. This really shows we need to rethink our incentives and how we handle them. Also, allowing this extension might not be fair to other projects who didn’t know they could ask for one. While we appreciate Pyth Network’s work, we think staying on track with our plans to review and improve our incentive programs is the right move for now.

Lampros Labs DAO supports this proposal to upgrade the RARI token contract and transition its governance into the Arbitrum ecosystem. This is a positive step that will onboard another community into the Arbitrum network, contributing to the overall growth and development of the ecosystem. We believe this alignment between the RARI DAO and Arbitrum DAO will be mutually beneficial for both communities.

As we said before, Lampros Labs DAO supports upgrading the RARI token contract and moving its governance to the Arbitrum ecosystem. We think this will help bring another community into Arbitrum, which is good for everyone.

The idea of having an Evaluation Committee made up of Stylus experts is a good approach. We also agree with giving out funds based on milestones, as this will help prevent misuse.

To make this sprint really successful, we suggest running a strong marketing campaign to attract as many developers as possible. It would be great to showcase the Stylus Sprint at ArbiVerse during Art Museum Token2049 - this could help get more people to apply.

Overall, we think this program can really speed up the adoption of Stylus by creating a set of high-quality projects that show what it can do.

We believe that generating revenue should be a key focus for the DAO’s long-term sustainability, and Timeboost provides a good mechanism for this. Collecting bids in ETH keeps future options open, unlike burning ARB tokens. Once we have real-world data, we will be better positioned to decide how to handle the revenue, whether through distribution or token burning.

We are voting FOR this proposal with a focus on an online event this time.

If the DAO is collaborating online and remotely, meeting offline once or several times a year for strategizing makes little sense. In-person events tend to become more exclusive, and this is a time to include rather than exclude people, especially for critical discussions like strategy.

The term ‘high-context’ participants is unclear and feel exclusive. A DAO that is still in the process of strategizing doesn’t necessarily have participants with more context than others. Anyone with the right intent can get up to speed quickly.

Similarly, focusing only on the Top 50 delegates based on monetary value is also limiting. There are individuals with equal, if not more, interest and skills who may not have high voting power but are equally valuable contributors.

With all that in mind, we still believe that the requested budget, even for the facilitation of an online event, is too high relative to the value we believe we’ll be able to get from it. We can’t afford to spend ~$10k per online workshop. While we understand there’s a cost for planning and facilitating, it should be way lower than what is asked right now.

Furthermore, we’d like to note that the success of this meeting depends largely not only on the organizer putting enough effort to make the event successful but also on the participants - even the best-facilitated event will not be fruitful if not enough right people attend it or if those people are not prepared enough to use this time efficiently.

We agree with L2Beat on both points. While the event itself has been the focus, there’s not enough attention on getting the right people involved.

The HackHumanity team has a strong track record with previous GovHack events, so we believe they are well-prepared to conduct another successful event for the Arbitrum community.

The schedule, execution plan, cost breakdown, and KPIs are clear and well thought out. We especially support the Post-Event Follow-up, as the 4-week dedicated follow-up can help move promising proposals forward, bringing long-term value to the DAO. We also acknowledge the significant cost reduction of $156k compared to the previous event, which was $262k. HackHumanity’s approach aligns well with Arbitrum’s goals and should be supported.

We had the same question as PGov raised regarding the criteria for selecting stakeholders. It would be helpful to clarify this to ensure transparency in the selection process.

In hindsight, while the event seems simple, the execution and planning deserve credit. Though there is some concern over hosting three events per year, the benefits of holding this event outweigh the cost of not doing so.

We agree that the best gateway to the DAO is through the Foundation, as highlighted in the following statement from the proposal:

Gateway to DAO. The DAO has previously contributed to onboarding partners via programs like STEP, however, the experience has been that most institutions are not inclined toward engaging and participating in public forums, and even when they do it is after extensive conversations with The Arbitrum Foundation and its service providers, who are making them aware of the opportunities and encouraging them to get involved. As front line enablers, The Arbitrum Foundation actively builds relationships with partners and encourages all partners to engage with the DAO. Most recent examples include Securitize (via BlackRock BUIDL) and Franklin Templeton.

With the transparency the Foundation has provided to the DAO over the past year, we are confident the funds will help the Arbitrum ecosystem grow in the Layer 2 landscape. L2 on Ethereum shall look to grow the entire pie, but who gets what portion of the pie will be decided by the teams working behind each rollup. These funds will definitely provide the required boost in capturing a larger share of the pie.

We would like to recommend Transparency Reports for strategic partnerships over $2 million to give the community better clarity.

Additionally, we support the suggestion from @thedevanshmehta and @JoJo about creating an oversight council to act as an ombudsman for further accountability.

We want to mention that our feedback from this comment was heard and implemented, which we appreciate.

The minor changes from v1.1 to v1.5 are welcomed especially the new rubric-based system. This seems well-suited to address the diverse feedback across the DAO and will likely encourage deeper and more consistent participation from delegates in governance.

We would love to see how the upper cap of 50 delegates could be lifted if the $7,000 per delegate budget is not exhausted, and the 51st delegate qualifies for the last tier allowing more delegates to qualify for incentives.

Lastly, we hope that the subjective scoring will become more objective as the program progresses.

The fact that TogetherCrew is already an active member of the DAO gives us confidence that this data will be used for the greater good of the community.

Initially, we voted Against it when it was on Snapshot after GovHack Brussels, but based on the security report by ARDC Security Member, there are no risks, and this will improve on-chain transparency of DAO data.

EIP-4824 is a well-designed standard for managing DAO data, making it easier for participants and tooling providers to access recommended sources. This has been a challenge for us in our Chora Club development.

We suggest clarifying the additional costs related to Pathway 1 before the Tally proposal. If the foundation manages updates, the costs should be made transparent to the DAO, possibly by adding the role to an existing council.

The ENS txt record updates are a good starting point, with the option to deploy a contract later if needed.

It is important for Arbitrum to be present at key industry events. In the past, events like GovHack have played a vital role alongside those managed by the Foundation. However, we’ve observed that the 4-week confirmation time has caused last-minute rushes for proposals, which this well-planned budget should help avoid.

We trust ADPC, Disruption Joe, and Entropy to smoothly transition the responsibility of organizing these events to the OpCo once it is fully operational.

Before we move to Tally, we have one point that needs clarification. Regarding the service providers, will they need a Snapshot vote to get funds approved by the DAO, or will members be able to approve the funds directly? Understanding this process will help ensure third-party providers stay motivated to organize events for the DAO.

We agree that the best gateway to the DAO is through the Foundation, as highlighted in the following statement from the proposal:

Gateway to DAO. The DAO has previously contributed to onboarding partners via programs like STEP, however, the experience has been that most institutions are not inclined toward engaging and participating in public forums, and even when they do it is after extensive conversations with The Arbitrum Foundation and its service providers, who are making them aware of the opportunities and encouraging them to get involved. As front line enablers, The Arbitrum Foundation actively builds relationships with partners and encourages all partners to engage with the DAO. Most recent examples include Securitize (via BlackRock BUIDL) and Franklin Templeton.

With the transparency the Foundation has provided to the DAO over the past year, we are confident the funds will help the Arbitrum ecosystem grow in the Layer 2 landscape. L2 on Ethereum shall look to grow the entire pie, but who gets what portion of the pie will be decided by the teams working behind each rollup. These funds will definitely provide the required boost in capturing a larger share of the pie.

We would like to recommend Transparency Reports for strategic partnerships over $2 million to give the community better clarity.

Additionally, we support the suggestion from @thedevanshmehta and @JoJo about creating an oversight council to act as an ombudsman for further accountability.

We acknowledge the contribution of @thedevanshmehta to the DAO & @LuukDAO over many open-source projects. We thank the contributors to this proposal for having placed this proposal and opened a channel to discuss it for the DAO. We should consider this proposal as a success of Firestarter program by ThankARB.
The example mentioned about Treasure DAO’s move to ZK Sync seems perfect but difficult to conclude that native Account Abstraction was the real reason vs token swap.
Investing in ecosystem projects should be important for the DAO, but we can do this via the Arbitrum Venture Initiative which can get a better share for the Arbitrum DAO.
Adding an observation that the amount we are trying with the proposal to swap is way less than what the DAO can recover by making the current programs more efficient. This could look out of context but happy to talk on it with anyone interested.

The minor changes from v1.1 to v1.5 are welcomed especially the new rubric-based system. This seems well-suited to address the diverse feedback across the DAO and will likely encourage deeper and more consistent participation from delegates in governance.

We would love to see how the upper cap of 50 delegates could be lifted if the $7,000 per delegate budget is not exhausted, and the 51st delegate qualifies for the last tier allowing more delegates to qualify for incentives.

Lastly, we hope that the subjective scoring will become more objective as the program progresses.

To make this sprint really successful, we suggest running a strong marketing campaign to attract as many developers as possible. It would be great to showcase the Stylus Sprint at ArbiVerse during Art Museum Token2049 - this could help get more people to apply.

Overall, we think this program can really speed up the adoption of Stylus by creating a set of high-quality projects that show what it can do.

Entropy Advisors have delivered another excellent proposal - thank you for your efforts!

We agree with GFXLabs’ concern about bundling multiple items in one proposal. The due diligence done by GFXLabs is what every organization should do when recruiting someone. As a DAO, this is an area we need to improve, so we appreciate GFXLabs’ diligence.

The last bi-weekly call helped us understand Sam’s explanation of Austin’s approach. The fact that payments will be milestone-based gives us confidence. This structure ensures progress, so we decided to vote FOR the proposal to get things moving in the right direction.

We support the idea of linking payments for TMC and GMC members to task completion rather than monthly payments. This approach improves accountability and sets a clear framework for what is completed and paid for. We believe this structure should apply to most proposals.

Since STEP has a similar goal of generating yield for the DAO through RWAs, how will TMC avoid overlapping with STEP? Can TMC use its allocated funds for RWA investments to generate yield?

Additionally, could you clarify what is meant by “high guarantees” in the context of ETH-backed strategies? We are particularly interested in understanding how the DAO will assess and minimize risks while ensuring the safe return of ETH. What mechanisms or safeguards will be in place to protect the DAO’s funds and ensure these strategies remain low-risk?

As mentioned earlier, clear measures to secure DAO funds are crucial. Will the service provider generating yield have risk coverage through insurance providers with players like Nexus Mutual | The crypto insurance? Alternatively, will the DAO get to review the proposal each time a milestone is completed by TMC and GMC?

Everything else remains the same, including our values, mission and team members.
