We’re publishing here to express Blockful’s interest in joining the Arbitrum Security Council.
About Blockful
blockful specializes in governance security, ensuring protocol resilience by proactively identifying and mitigating security threats. Our work goes beyond code, analyzing governance structures, participation risks, economical behaviors, and potential attack vectors that could impact decentralized systems.
We are a company focused on creating tools that help improve coordination between human beings in society. We use lines of code to reduce friction between people and increase the efficiency of social interactions.
Security is at the core of Blockful’s work. Our team of engineers and researchers actively monitors risks that could compromise protocols and DAO operations. We have contributed to:
ENS Governance Analysis: Identified and resolved a critical governance risk in ENS DAO, preventing potential vulnerabilities and creating the ENS Security Council.
Compound Governance Research: Conducted an in-depth review to evaluate and improve governance mechanisms.
blockful specializes in detecting and mitigating risks before they escalate into systemic failures. Our proactive approach includes continuous monitoring, technical risk analysis, and direct intervention when security threats emerge.
With a dedicated team of engineers and security researchers, blockful is equipped to support protocol-level security improvements and risk assessments. Our experience in smart contract security, attack vector analysis, and DAO risk mitigation makes us an ideal member for the Arbitrum Security Council.
We are confident in our ability to add value to the Security Council and are prepared to contribute meaningfully in this role. Looking forward to engaging with the community on this.
The representative will be @alextnetto. He was responsible for addressing the potential attack on the ENS DAO. He is also the creator of the ENS DAO Security Council, a smart contract developer, and co-founder of blockful.
thank you for applying! you guys are very well positioned to take a closer look into the changes the Arbitrum Foundation is proposing for the Security Council, and that would impact the cohort that will be elected this month. so I would love to get your opinion on this proposal:
We’d like to voice strong support for Blockful’s application to join the Arbitrum Security Council.
We’ve had the chance to work with Blockful across DAOs, particularly in the ENS ecosystem where our team serves as treasury managers. Through multiple collaborations, we’ve seen first-hand their professionalism, reliability, and deep expertise in security. Their contributions to ENS have been consistently high quality and impactful, and we’ve come to trust their judgment and technical capabilities.
Earlier this year, Blockful was also awarded a grant by the Uniswap Foundation to conduct a Governance Security Review. This further demonstrated the team’s rigor and commitment to improving the security of DAO governance.
Taken together, these experiences highlight both their track record and their alignment with the responsibilities of a Security Council member.
Based on our direct experience, we believe Blockful would be an excellent fit for the Arbitrum Security Council. They combine a strong technical background with a practical understanding of DAO governance, and we are confident they would add significant value to the Council’s mission of safeguarding the Arbitrum ecosystem.
