Cross-Chain Governance Transparency: NEAR HoS & Arbitrum Governance members

Dear Arbitrum Governance members and @SEEDGov,

Not long ago, NEAR Protocol launched its new governance initiative (designed by @gauntlet) — the House of Stake (HoS): NEAR Governance: House of Stake Proposal

We have many Governance members who are also active in Arbitrum, so for now, strictly enforcing conflicts of interest (COI) will be practically impossible.

Let’s keep this discussion open and transparent. Any input or suggestions are very welcome!

Hey! @Dacha

Honestly, from SEEDGov’s perspective, we don’t fully understand the purpose of this thread. Could you please clarify this?

With respect to the DIP, there is no rule preventing delegates from participating in programs from other DAOs, so no “enforcement” mechanism is necessary. We simply ask that delegates disclose any potential conflicts of interest (CoIs).

As Program Managers, if a CoI disclosure—or any other item in the application template—is not properly addressed, we are entitled to disregard the application or request additional information, as the applicant would not have fulfilled the requirement of completing the template appropriately.
