I was reading Vitalik’s recent post on "We need more DAOs " and I think two points really stand out for the problems we are discussing.
1- For “Wisdom” (Governance/Feedback): I don’t believe we need a new incentive program here. The RAD proposal is already capturing the raw data (comments/sentiment). And I believe token holders are probably the best feedback we can receive. They have aligned incentives, capturing subject matter experts would be way harder because expertise for every proposal might change. Instead of paying for more feedback, we should focus on AI summarization with Human Curation to make sense of the data we already have.
2 - Use some type of manager tool for clear, competitive execution For actual work, we could set up a platform like Dework. It works like a freelance board (RFPs) where the OpCo guided by AAEs and the DAO can post exactly what is needed.
Giving clarity for newcomers, instead of guessing how to help, new contributors see a clear list of open tasks and bounties that they can apply for.
It supports both one-off tasks and recurring roles. Assignments are competitive, so the best person gets the job. If they leave or underperform, the role/task simply goes back to the board for the next candidate.
It is not fully decentralized (since OpCo manages the board), but it gives us the efficiency of a company with the openness of a DAO. We could set it up that token holders and delegates could vote too but it seems over-engineered and as Vitalik mentioned in his post people in general don’t want to participate in micro decisions and get tired.
