Following feedback on the proposal to establish the STIP Bridge, it was agreed to involve the LTIPP Advisors in this process with the mission to “help applicants gain insights into their proposals. This not only guides applicants through the process but also ensures that the DAO will review better proposals.”

Despite the inclusion of Advisors, this process does not involve the Council, leading us to believe that this addendum places a significant burden on the delegates who must review all the proposals. One of the reasons for the LTIPP was precisely to avoid this excessive burden. Moreover, the optimistic model adopted in this phase could raise concerns about the real control the DAO will have over these proposals, as reviewing six months of data for each applicant is time-consuming.

For this reason, we decided to accompany each application we reviewed with a brief report. We ask the delegates not to take this as an in-depth or definitive basis for deciding your vote, but rather as a high level overview that can potentially raise questions for your own analysis.

Regarding WINR, STIP KPIs were:

According to OBL, throughout the duration of the incentives, the protocol was able to maintain its TVL but not increase it. After the incentives ended, there was a gradual decline—though not a steep drop. Regarding DAU, while the objective was not met, the protocol succeeded in maintaining a base of active users.

Notably, the volume significantly exceeded the KPIs (JustBet + DegensBet), maintaining high volumes even after the incentives had ended.

In this new iteration, the WINR team has modified the distribution of its incentives, which are now 100% oriented towards daily platform users. It’s also important to highlight that betting protocols like these require strong marketing campaigns (KOLs, events, etc.) to gain traction and adoption since they target retail users (non-DeFi). Although the WINR team requested funds for marketing campaigns during the STIP, these were denied as social participation incentives were not permitted.

For more information on the applicant answers, please check the Discord.

Conclusions

While not all KPIs have been achieved, we believe that with the recent modifications to the proposal, the WINR protocol could perform better. We also encourage the delegates and the DAO to be more open in funding marketing campaigns, enabling retail-oriented protocols to attract more users.

Proposal for Modifying WINR Protocol’s STIP Bridge Grant Executive Strategy

WINR Protocol has been successfully awarded a grant under the Arbitrum STIP Bridge program. Initially, the proposal included distributing rewards across two platforms: JustBet and DegensBet. However, as WINR Protocol advance in development strategy, we have identified a more impactful approach to deploying these rewards to better align with long term objectives for each ecosystem partner.

Proposed Changes

To maximize the impact of the STIP Bridge grant, we propose the following adjustments to our original plan:

Withdrawal of DegensBet Rewards:

Original Plan: The initial proposal allocated 100,000 ARB for DegensBet, aimed at incentivizing traders through various rewards such as cashback on losses, top trader rewards by volume and P&L, and compensation for bad trades.

Proposed Change: We propose to withdraw this allocation from DegensBet and reallocate these funds to support liquidity providers (LPs) on WINR Chain.

Focus on Liquidity Provision for WINR Chain:

Rationale: WINR Protocol’s primary focus has shifted towards building a cutting-edge Layer 3
solution designed to optimize and accelerate game development and other dApps. This shift is strategic, as we believe it will create a stronger, more sustainable ecosystem that benefits all participants. Attracting and retaining new users and liquidity for the WINR Chain is essential to the success of this roadmap.

New Allocation:
The 100,000 ARB initially set aside for DegensBet will now be used for a weekly distribution to LP (formerly known as WLP) holders. This distribution will be based on the amount and duration of LP token holdings, incentivizing sustained liquidity provision and engagement within the WINR Chain ecosystem.

Maintaining JustBet Rewards:
Unchanged Plan: The incentives allocated for JustBet (150,000 ARB) will remain as originally proposed. These incentives include cashback for new players, rewards for top players by volume and bet amounts, high roller rewards, and luck-based drawings, among others. This ensures that JustBet continues to grow its user base and engagement without disruption.

Execution Strategy for WLP Rewards
Weekly Distribution: The reallocated 100,000 ARB will be distributed weekly to LP holders based on their token holdings. This approach encourages participants to provide liquidity and retain their positions, thereby supporting the overall health and growth of the WINR Chain.

Incentive Structure: Rewards will be scaled according to the volume and holding period of LP tokens, with a clear focus on rewarding long-term participation. This aligns with our goal of creating a stable and thriving Layer3 environment on Arbitrum Orbits.

Expected Outcomes
Increased Liquidity: By redirecting rewards to LP holders, we expect to see a significant increase in the total value locked (TVL) on WINR Chain, creating a more robust and liquid market.

Sustained Ecosystem Growth: The shift in focus from DegensBet to WINR Chain liquidity provision aligns with our broader objective of establishing a sustainable and scalable ecosystem. This approach is expected to attract both new participants and retain existing ones through continuous incentives.

Alignment with Arbitrum’s Vision: This modification supports Arbitrum’s strategic focus on advancing Layer3 solutions through Arbitrum Orbits, fostering innovation and growth within its ecosystem.

Conclusion

We believe that these modifications will better serve the goals of both WINR Protocol and the Arbitrum STIP Bridge program. By focusing on liquidity provision through WLP rewards, we aim to create a more vibrant and sustainable ecosystem that benefits all stakeholders.

We respectfully request approval of these proposed changes to our original STIP Bridge grant application.
