  • Strong business development and/or games focused venture capital experience

    • Joined SparkCognition (https://www.sparkcognition.com), an industrial AI company in Austin, TX, in 2015 when it was at 10 people or so.
    • Multiple responsibilities:
      • Business development,
      • Technical Sales,
      • Product Development (first version of SparkCognition’s Natural Lanuage Platform, DeepNLP, as well as a gamified cyber security training application built in Unity3D, VR, AR, etc.)
      • Participating in all SparkCognition raises doing VC pitches from Series A through Series D - SparkCognition was last valued at $1.4B
      • Raised capital and was part of the founding team (Chief Software Architect and later Chief Product Officer) for SkyGrid (https://www.skygrid.com), a joint venture between The Boeing Company and SparkCognition. SkyGrid built an aerial operating system for UAVs powered by AI and blockchain
      • Raised capital for Navigate (https://nvg8.io) to build a decentralized web3 native data platform. Seed round raise was $7.625MM (https://www.theblock.co/post/150448/navigate-raises-seed-funding-crypto-alan-howard-polygon)

  • DAO experience and strong relationships within Arbitrum DAO

    • I have been a member of the Arbitrum DAO since the beginning. Arbitrum is the ecosystem I am most involved with, having chosen to build projects within this ecosystem. Examples are nvg8.io and Into the Dungeons.

    • I am also an elected member on the Treasure DAO Arbitrum Representative Council participating in governance activities

  • CFO/VP finance leadership experience

    • As part of the founding team at SkyGrid and now CEO of Navigate, one of the core responsibilities has been and continues to be management of finances and funds
