GMX is well deserving been one of top projects since the beginning.
GMX excels in arbitrage, but dedicating a quarter of the grant to them, only to see it as a minor boost in their resources, may not align with the DAOâs optimal allocation strategy.
Yeah GMX is great . I absolutely support GMX
I am proudly part of Castle yeah. As probably another 50 people.
But not taken part in the Arbitrum grant proposal initiative. So my point still stands.
Btw, Castle also asked GMX to lower the requested amount (and they did)
Just take the loss and find some plebs elsewhere to gaslight. Have a nice day
I endorse GMX as an OG protocol and admire both its initial version and the innovations introduced in v2. Despite my reservations about fragmented liquidity, I am particularly fond of several aspects of its design, notably its consideration for minimizing price impact.
Nevertheless, I do find the size of GMX to be somewhat substantial when compared to its present daily trading volume. Itâs important to clarify that this comparison is not against perpetual decentralized exchanges (perp dexes) with off-chain order books, which have the flexibility to generate arbitrary numbers due to the prevalence of wash trading on platforms like Vertex and HyperLiquid, but rather against other fully on-chain perp dexes.
GMX: @coinflip
From @Seedgov led by the @cattin delegation, we want to convey our support to this proposal. The reasons why we agree are as follows:
- GMX has an ambitious goal: migrating TVL from CEX to Arbitrum, backed by sound reasoning.
- Capital efficiency: increasing TVL.
- Cost reduction: subsidizing trading fees.
- UX improvement: incentivizing operations on protocols that are built on GMX.
- Noteworthy is the fact that the protocol represents 24% of Arbitrumâs TVL (1,740M USD TVL in Arbitrum - 419M USD TVL in GMX). Given that the program has 50M ARB, GMX is requesting 28% of the total ARB.
We want to clarify that this is not the final vote, since as we clarify in this release, the final vote is defined by our community. We also want to invite you to attend our Governance Call that will be held tomorrow in our discord.
Congrat to gmx team.
the contents of this article is well detailed and likewise easy for just anyone to understand
Michigan Blockchain supports this proposal with the requested amount being justified given the sustainable benefits to the Arbitrum ecosystem and having conducted an in-depth reviewal process of all submitted STIP proposals. We appreciate GMXâs effort in delivering a promising proposal and working with the community throughout the process.
As ITU Blockchain, we fully support the proposal GMX has submitted to the Arbitrum DAO and cast our âforâ vote for this initiative. GMX aims to make a significant and positive impact on the Arbitrum ecosystem through increased liquidity, trading volume, protocol integrations, and improvements in user experience. Through incentives, it plans to accelerate the increase in Total Value Locked (TVL), thereby enhancing the platformâs reliability and appeal. Additionally, GMX aims to generate more user activity and trading volume through trading incentives and competitions. This will create a healthier ecosystem, strengthening Arbitrumâs position as a leading platform in the DeFi space.
In particular, GMXâs plans to increase transaction speeds and reduce slippage will make the platform more attractive for high-frequency traders. Moreover, their commitment to encouraging integrations with other protocols will assist in the expansion of the ecosystem, enabling Arbitrum to reach a broader user and developer base.
GMXâs proposal offers critical technical advantages that will support the health and growth of the Arbitrum ecosystem.
Therefore, we thank GMX for their detailed reports and believe that this initiative will have a positive impact on the Arbitrum ecosystem.
