Why Are You Nominating This Person:
Applicant / Nominee Qualifications and Experience
-
Identify one of the domains described within the Desired Qualifications section in the OpCo - Oversight and Transparency Committee (OAT) Application Process Overview forum post in which you have the most experience and describe that experience: I believe that I can contribute across a number of the different Desired Qualifiations in the OAT Application Process Overview forum post but among the different areas, my strengths mostly lie in the “Business Development, Venture Building, Strategy and Operations” section. I have been leading Business Development efforts at Offchain for six years and at the forefront of many of the largest institutional, enterprise and DeFi relationships in the Arbitrum ecosystem. I have spent the last year on the OAT as well helping establish the organization and working through many of the strategic initiatives across the OAT and the broader business development landscape in Arbitrum over the last few years.
-
Describe your network and reputation within the blockchain/technology industry. Have you previously represented a crypto brand and/or navigated DAO governance: I have been personally in the crypto industry since around 2014, and joined full-time professionally in 2020. I have only worked at Offchain, and love Arbitrum, but have a wide network throughout the industry. Arbitrum and Offchain has been my primary professional focus for the last six years. I played a critical role in the establishment of the original DAO architecture and many of the structural changes that have occurred over the years. As far as my reputation within the industry, I would like to think of myself as a seasoned, respected leader but obviously that is a question better directed to my colleagues and peers.
-
Detail your experience in advisory, governance, and/or oversight roles: I have been a member of the OAT for the last year and was an original contributor to the creation of the Arbitrum DAO and Arbitrum governance.
-
Have you previously contributed to the Arbitrum DAO? Describe any relevant experiences through which you’ve gained an understanding of the DAO’s current structure, contributors, and programs: I have contributed as a member of the OAT and in my role as the CSO of one of the AAEs.
-
Given the scope of OpCo is relatively broad in its current form, describe how you view OpCo’s role within the DAO and what it should accomplish to deem the entity a success over the next 3-5 years: The past year has really been about establishing the organization. We have finally been able to establish a small but strong team that can help lead across coordination and structure to the initiatives that need to be accomplished. In the short run (next six months) establishing structures to enable efficiency and bold big bets to occur should be the primary focus of the OpCo but on a longer time horizon, I would hope and expect that it will be both an idea generator for mechanisms to grow the business and the DAO’s treasury and also be a conduit with other stakeholders to source and potentially implement or facilitate additional opportunities. The organization requires a healthy balance of prudence and boldness. Success will be established when the OpCo is contributing to the top line revenue across the different business units and we can make significant strides to improve profitability.

It will be up to the current OAT to enforce the above policy, and if a candidate is excluded from the election, then the rationale must be publicly disclosed to the ArbitrumDAO
