even accounting for the 2 weeks of holiday break, that’s 4 weeks of wait time for a service provider to get paid.
the point of this new process for the Events Budget was for service providers to be paid faster so that they can execute their services on time, without having to go through an onchain vote.
In this case, an onchain vote would have been way faster.
We need to pay attention to these things and we need to do better. The DAO is spending a quarter of a million dollars a year to pay people to sign transactions on multisigs. We need to do way better than 6 weeks lead time to pay people.
The MSS is on this now. If you did dm me and I missed it, I am sorry.
For Paulo - we do have “chair” roles that are the usual initiators of transactions, but I think the issue is that it’s a pull system rather than a push one. I don’t believe (I could be wrong) that we are setup to automatically execute payments when they are potentially ready. There are other factors, I don’t believe were issue here, but are considerations, like waiting for compliance to be done that prevent the “push” style action. In general, when MSS has been notified of a payment (the “pull”), it is less than a day before taking action from what I’ve seen.
Please refer to this new topic here in the forum, to coordinate what we need to decide, to make sure the Arbitrum DAO presence at ETH Bucharest 2025 is a success.
