[RFC-0] Comprehensive Proposal for Modifications in ArbitrumDAO's Governance Infrastructure

This is a great contribution. I binged reading these over the weekend and have been thinking about how to best respond and help move forward.

RFC-1 Governance Cycle

I especially like this. As a strong believer in setting good cadences & rituals, it is refreshing to see this as a primary concern. I don’t think anyone will object to the monthly cadences. A more difficult task is to align it with the service provider activities such as Plurality Labs, Questbook, and future funded programs.

My concern, I don’t think this is something that should be ratified into “law”. In my experience, I’ve seen that when DAOs ratify process outside of the consititution, it leads to a loss of focus on objectives and over-administrating simple processes and enforcement of rules. A suggestion would be to do the work of getting proper feedback, then simply temp check an agreement to establish the cadence as a norm.

In terms of getting feedback, I’d love to connect to talk about the September #GovMonth promo Plurality Labs will be activating. The structure is already built to get you the data-driven justification to gain wide support of establishing a new norm.

RFC-2 Delegate Incentives

This post from @Frisson says it all x.com

RFC-3 Governance Facilitator

How would you select this person? @shawn16400 from our team did this for Gitcoin. His work there was a huge part of why I reached out to him to join our effort. Perhaps he could help.

Overall, I think there will be a need to drive most of this forward. It would be great to incorporate the questions that these proposals bring into our #govmonth promo to get real data-driven justification for any decisions made. It would be great to see us ratify a norm as opposed to a law!
