Verum by Anthias Labs (Completion Report - Guestbook Season 2)
Project information
Via this grant, our team at Anthias Labs was funded to build Verum: the on-chain, automated, reputation system for the Arbitrum ecosystem. Identifying the most valuable users in the Arbitrum ecosystem (or any ecosystem for that matter) is difficult. The solution here seems apparent: create a reputation system that helps users and projects develop trust. However, traditional reputation systems rely heavily on subjective human ratings, which can be biased and unreliable.
To solve this problem, Anthias Labs developed Verum: an automated reputation scoring system based on on-chain Arbitrum activity. This system involves an algorithm that leverages on-chain data (e.g., transaction history, contract interactions, participation in governance proposals, etc.) to generate objective and verifiable reputation scores for Arbitrum users. Our hope is that Verum will accomplish the following goals for Arbitrum: 1) Provide a more objective and trustworthy indicator of reputation, 2) Minimize potential reputation manipulation, and 3) Encourage positive contributions within the Arbitrum ecosystem.
Grant impact
This grant was very impactful in that Verum would not have been built without this grant.
Program experience
The Questbook program experience and working with the Arbitrum grant providers on Questbook has been excellent. We worked most closely with @JoJo and the feedback he provided throughout the process was very helpful. We are keen to work with Questbook and Arbitrum again soon in the future.
