Snapshot: Continuation of ARDC V2
We will vote for option C: do not extend.
While we have found specific topics and reports to be useful to inform our opinions, we ultimately agree with the point raised by Entropy on Fixed-Term Research Commitments and how it motivates to look for “research to do”. In the future a demand model based using the expertise provided by members could be a better model. That being said, voting for the extension would mean commiting funds where expectations regarding reports and deliverables remain unclear from the side of the DAO.
Snapshot: DIP 1.7
We’re voting abstain for this proposal
The proposal revises how the program is run, adjusting scoring, enforcement and eligibility. It still could improve in a way to ease and streamline the implementation of the program. We’d feel an automated approach plus manual review by the program managers streamlines the process the most. We support adding a new tier and lowering complexity for scoring and for onboarding, admin overhead wherever possible should be reduced. We hope to see this type of improvements to continue (as we imagine the proposal will pass). We don’t feel particularly strong enough about any other points raised to support the proposal, so we will vote abstain.
Tally: Entropy Advisors: Exclusively Working with the DAO
We are voting for.
Makes sense to have a structured role for an entity that continues to contribute, deliver and plan around the structure of governance.
Tally: Register $BORING in the Arbitrum generic-custom gateway
We vote for.
All simulations passed. Supporting the registering of the bridge is a no brainer and we see no reason not to.
Tally: Remove Cost Cap, Update Executors, Disable Legacy USDT Bridge
We are voting for
– Removing cost cap aligns with current priorities, given Nova’s current usage after EIP-4844 and Orbit adoption.
– Upgrading executors makes upgrades simpler.
– Disabling USDT bridge eliminates a legacy bridge, which also contributed to a slow process (delay), and potentially risks losing funds.
All 3 proposals are in favor of efficiency for Arbitrum.
