Ongoing Onchain Proposals
1. [Constitutional] AIP: Constitutional Quorum Threshold Reduction (Voting ends July 3)
This AIP puts forward a reduction of the constitutional quorum threshold by 0.5%, lowering it from 5% to 4.5% of the total Arbitrum votable tokens.
The goal is to ensure that well-supported proposals can successfully conclude by aligning quorum requirements with current levels of voter participation, reducing the risk of legitimate initiatives failing due to quorum thresholds not being met.
2. [CONSTITUTIONAL] Register the Sky Custom Gateway contracts in the Router (Voting ends July 3)
This constitutional proposal seeks to improve user experience by updating Arbitrum’s Router configuration to register the Sky Custom Gateways for USDS and sUSDS tokens, enabling users to bridge USDS and sUSDS through the official Arbitrum Bridge UI.
The Arbitrum Router contracts maintain a list of gateways that the Arbitrum Bridge UI relies on when bridging tokens.
Because USDS and sUSDS tokens are not currently on this list, users are currently unable to use the Arbitrum Bridge UI to transfer USDS and sUSDS to Arbitrum, which this proposal aims to change.
Snapshot Votes
1. Audit Committee Technical Expert Elections (Voting ends July 3rd)
Two candidates are on the ballot for the Audit Committee Technical Expert position: Andrei Andonov and Gustavo Grieco.
Following the approval of the Arbitrum Audit Program, and the technical expert application and shortlisting process, the Arbitrum Foundation has shortlisted two candidates for the Technical Expert seat of the Audit Committee.
2. Extend AGV Council Term and Align Future Elections with Operational Cadence (Voting ends July 4)
This proposal seeks to extend the current Arbitrum Gaming Ventures (AGV) Council’s term to December 31, 2025, and establish a unified election cycle aligned with AGV’s business operations.
By moving to a standardized calendar-year term with elections held during a quieter operational period, this adjustment ensures continuity, minimizes operational disruptions, and lays the groundwork for predictable Council elections moving forward.
