Marketing

Finance

  • Executed ARB conversions to fund DAO programs such as Questbook Season 3 and the Audit Program, and coordinated the return of surplus funds to the DAO Treasury.

Tech

  • DevRel
    • Arbitrum Open House (Arbitrum hacker house flagship program) has started in India with online Learn kicked off on 8/5 and the 3-week Buildathon starting on 8/22
      • The Learn program concluded with more than 500 participants going through the self-paced, interactive modular courses.
      • The 3-week online Buildathon is about to conclude with nearly 200 builders and around 80 submitted projects, competing for a total of $33k in prizes.
      • The IRL Hacker House in Bengaluru is set to start Sep 18, with nearly 500 registrations competing for a spot and a total prize of $70k.
    • BuildGuild launched Arbitrum Scaffold-ETH
  • The Arbitrum Audit Program is live with 45 applications in a month, a 12% acceptance rate, and a strong DeFi trend (with infra and AI catching up). You can read more here.
  • Work is underway on an AEP fees data pipeline to aggregate the Arbitrum Chains fees accrued by the DAO.
  • The Watchdog portal is now up and running. You can read more here.

Governance

  • Security Council Elections Improvement proposal posted, discussed, and now being voted upon on Snapshot. The AIP introduces improvements to the on-chain elections framework and resulting changes to the ArbitrumDAO constitution. In response to delegate feedback, we’ve also opened another discussion thread on other items relevant to the Security Council.
  • Security Council September cohort elections facilitation is underway. The current call for candidates phase aims to inform the Arbitrum community, including potential candidates, of the upcoming elections and how to prepare for it. Potential Security Council candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Started working on DIP 2.0, together with SeedGov.
  • Participated in the maintenance upgrades working group. You can read more about our proposed approach here.
  • There’s ongoing research as it relates to on-chain quorum requirements, in order to propose a long-term approach to the DAO.

Ecosystem

  • Arbifuel season 1 is being extended for another 1-2 months to collect more data to be used for further improvement. An addition of Zerodev tooling to Arbifuel is being explored.
  • Collaborated with Entropy to launch DRIP on September 3.
  • The monthly ecosystem spotlight was launched to give visibility to key highlights of the month.
  • Introduction of biweekly ecosystem check-ins on Discord to provide a direct communication line with the Arbitrum ecosystem team.
