This thread will provide transparency on the rationale to my votes as delegate.

Voting week September 23rd

Proposal: GovHack Devcon in Bangkok - Hack Humanity
Vote: Against
Reasoning: While I see the value in the GovHack initiative, I’d like to see it re-focused to either onboard new people to the Arbitrum DAO ecosystem or to effectively discuss carefully-selected topics and proposals.

Proposal: [Non-Constitutional] Funds to Bolster Foundation’s Strategic Partnerships Budget
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am in favour of funding the Arbitrum Foundation. They have a critical role for the success of the project and support a more hands-on approach on strategic partnerships on their side.

Proposal: [Non-Constitutional] Arbitrum DAO Delegate Incentive Program
Vote: For - DIP V1.5
Reasoning: I am in favour of extending the Delegate Incentive Program as a key element to encourage active participation in the ecosystem.

Voting week September 30th

Proposal: [Non-Constitutional] Whitelist Infura Nova Validator
Vote: Whitelist Infura Validator
Reasoning: Infura is an established and battle-tested provider serving the Ethereum ecosystem since inception. For this reason, I am in favour of whitelisting Infura as a Nova Validator.

Proposal: Research on context and retention
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am in favour of this initiative as it doesn’t require additional budget. However, I see a partial overlap with the “From engagement to rewards” analysis published by SeedGov.

Proposal: An EIP-4824 powered daoURI for Arbitrum DAO
Vote: For - use ENS txt records
Reasoning: Because this approach has been adopted by other large protocols, becoming an actual standard, I am in favour of adopting daoURI for Arbitrum DAO.

Proposal: UPDATED - Ethereum Protocol Attackathon Sponsorship
Vote: Against
Reasoning: While I see the value of the Ethereum Protocol Attackathon, I think it should be sponsored by the Ethereum Foundation and I am against sponsoring it as Arbitrum DAO given its limited impact on the ecosystem.

Proposal: [NON-CONSTITUTIONAL] Arbitrum DAO Procurement Committee: Phase II Proposal
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am in favour of renewing the ADPC for an additional 6 months for them to continue the work they started. I would expect a more in-depth evaluation of their work and achievements at the end of the second mandate.

Proposal: Constitutional AIP - Extend Delay on L2Time Lock
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am in favour of extending the Time Lock as suggested.

Voting week October 7th

Proposal: [Non-Constitutional] Funds to Bolster Foundation’s Strategic Partnerships Budget
Vote: For
Reasoning: As previously voted on Snapshot, I am in favour of funding the Arbitrum Foundation for a more hands-on approach with partnerships.

Proposal: ArbitrumDAO strategic “Off-site” (online) updated proposal
Vote: Against
Reasoning: While I am supportive of the Off-site initiative, I disagree with the proposed format. I believe online, mostly async sessions are not as effective as IRL, sync sessions for strategic discussions.

Proposal: Enhancing Multichain Governance: Upgrading RARI Governance Token on Arbitrum
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am in favour of upgrading the RARI Governance Token.

Voting week October 14th

Proposal: LTIPP Retroactive Community Funding Selections
Vote: Abstain
Reasoning: I believe the selection of projects for the Retroactive Community Funding should be a responsibility of the LTIPP committee. For this reason, I voted Abstain.

Proposal: Establishing a DAO Events Budget for 2025
Vote: For
Reasoning: I believe setting operating budgets is essential for the effective functioning of the Arbitrum DAO. As this proposal aligns with that, I voted in favour.

Proposal: [Non-Constitutional] Arbitrum DAO Delegate Incentive Program
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am supportive of extending the Delegate Incentive Program to encourage active participation of the Arbitrum community.

Proposal: Fund the Stylus Sprint
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am in favour of aligning the DAO efforts with Arbitrum’s latest upgrade. I believe a dedicated DAO-led program targeted at developers building with Stylus is key to supporting the growth of Arbitrum.

Voting week October 21st

Proposal: (V2) Arbitrum Research & Development Collective
Vote: Abstain
Reasoning: While I recognise the value of the ARDC, I see the Supervisory Council as unnecessary. Given the size and mandate of the ARDC, its members should stand by the stated principles without the need for oversight.

Proposal: [Non-Constitutional] Arbitrum Token Swap Pilot Program
Vote: Against
Reasoning: I believe token swaps should be done as part of a larger strategy to retain valuable projects within the Arbitrum ecosystem and to diversify the treasury, rather than an independent initiative.

Proposal: GCP Council Re-Confirmation Vote for Tim Chang
Vote: Reconfirm Tim Chang to GCPC
Reasoning: I voted to reconfirm Tim Chang as a way to maintain continuity for the initiative.

Proposal: GCP Council Re-Confirmation Vote for John Kennedy
Vote: Reconfirm John Kennedy to GCPC
Reasoning: I voted to reconfirm John Kennedy as a way to maintain continuity for the initiative.

Voting week October 28th

Proposal: Adopt a Delegate Code of Conduct & Formalize Operations
Vote: For
Reasoning: I believe this initiative is very valuable in reducing delegates fatigue and making the governance process easier. For this reason, I voted in favour.

Proposal: (V2) Arbitrum Research & Development Collective
Vote: Abstain
Reasoning: In line with my vote on Snapshot, I abstained. While I recognise the value of the ARDC, I see the Supervisory Council as unnecessary.

Proposal: Establishing a DAO Events Budget for 2025
Vote: For
Reasoning: In line with my vote on Snapshot, I vote in favour. I believe setting operating budgets is essential for the effective functioning of the Arbitrum DAO.

Voting week November 18th

Proposal: [Non-Constitutional] Treasury Management v1.2
Vote: For
Reasoning: I am in favour of active treasury management for Arbitrum. I believe it can positively contribute to Arbitrum DAO’s finances, especially considering the large amount of expenses being sustained by the DAO.
Entropy Advisors is a reputable entity, with its members truly committed to the success of Arbitrum. I am confident they can deliver a successful outcome.

Voting week November 25th

Proposal: Restitution For Extensively Delayed ArbitrumDAO Minigrant Winners
Vote: For
Reasoning: The fact the grant release was delayed by several months sets a negative precedent that poorly reflects on Arbitrum as a supportive ecosystem for builders. I think we should compensate these projects for the delay and aim at creating a more positive experience for projects next time.

Proposal: Hackathon Continuation Program
Vote: In favour, yes onchain mechanism
Reasoning: I am in favour of creating systems that support and encourage Arbitrum builders through their journey. Hence, I voted for this proposal.

Voting week December 2nd

Proposal: [Non-consitutional] User Research: Why build on Arbitrum?
Vote: Arbitrum + 2 others (SOL + OP)
Reasoning: I think a market analysis to understand why Arbitrum is valuable for users can provide valuable insights on competitive advantage, areas for improvement and resource allocation. For this reason, I voted in favour.

Proposal: Designing and operating the reporting and information function
Vote: Against
Reasoning: I voted against the current proposal because I think the proposed structure and budget are inadequate for the kind of operation. I’d like to see a simpler version of this initiative.

Proposal: Arbitrum D.A.O. Domain Allocator Offerings) Grant Program - Season 3
Vote: Renew with 5 domains (adding Orbits)
Reasoning: Encouraging builders is critical to effectively grow the Arbitrum ecosystem. I think this program well aligns with that. Plus, I voted to include the 5th track focused on grants for Orbit builders as Orbit Chains are a key development for the ecosystem.

Proposal: [NON-CONSTITUTIONAL] Arbitrum Onboarding V2: A Governance Bootcamp
Vote: For
Reasoning: Similarly to the Arbitrum D.A.O. program, I think the Governance Bootcamp is a key initiative to encourage ecosystem growth. Specifically, I think the program can lower the entry barrier for new contributors, increase quality of the contributions and ensure an inclusive ecosystem.

Proposal: ARDC (V2) Supervisory Council Election
Vote: Jameskbh
Reasoning: Jameskbh is an active contributor to the Arbitrum DAO, who is operational-oriented, crypto-native and offers a grounded perspective that balances big ideas with effective execution.

Proposal: ARDC (V2) Research Election
Vote: Blockworks Advisory
Reasoning: Blockworks Advisory is a well-known firm, that produced valuable pieces of research for the crypto industry. I think their proposal presents a good balance between quality of the outcomes and budget requested.

Proposal: ARDC (V2) Risk Election
Vote: Nethermind
Reasoning: Nethermind is a well-known firm, that is trusted by leading teams in the industry. I think their proposal presents a good balance between expected outcome and budget requested.

Proposal: ARDC (V2) Security Election
Vote: OpenZeppelin
Reasoning: OpenZeppelin is a well-known firm, that operated in the industry for a decade producing high-quality work. Based on my personal experience, the team is very professional and would bring valuable contributions to Arbitrum.

Proposal: Arbitrum Hackathon Builder Continuation Program

Reasoning: In line with my Snapshot vote, I voted in favour.

Proposal: Treasury Management V1.2
Vote: For
Reasoning: In line with my Snapshot vote, I voted in favour.

Proposal: Unifying Arbitrum’s Mission, Vision, Purpose (MVP)
Vote: For
Reasoning: I think it’s essential for Arbitrum DAO to define its north star in order to effectively allocate resources and bootstrap initiatives.

Proposal: Partner with ETH Bucharest 2025
Vote: Against
Reasoning: There are a variety of already-funded initiatives that aim to support and coordinate events, including the Events Budget for 2025 and the Arbitrum D.A.O. initiatives. I think funding should be sourced through these already approved initiatives rather than asked directly to the DAO.

Proposal: OpCo – A DAO-adjacent Entity for Strategy Execution
Vote: For
Reasoning: I think the Arbitrum DAO needs more structure, operational efficiency and coordination among its many activities. OpCo aims to do exactly that - it’s an ambitious initiative and I believe it can significantly improve the Arbitrum ecosystem.

Voting Week January 27th

Proposal: Proposal for Piloting Enhancements and Strengthening the Sustainability of ArbitrumHub in the Year Ahead
Vote: Against
Reasoning: ArbitrumHub is a valuable tool, but its funding and direction should come as part of a larger marketing and communications strategy.

Proposal: Arbitrum Strategic Objective Setting (SOS) – Defining the DAO’s Interim Goals
Vote: For
Reasoning: Following the Arbitrum MVP, Strategic Objective Setting is the logical next step in the definition of clear goals for the DAO. This is key for making DAO actions more effective.

Voting Week February 17th

Proposal: Arbitrum Growth Circles Event Proposal
Vote: Against
Reasoning: Given the amount requested, this proposal should be presented to the Arbitrum D.A.O. program rather than directly to the DAO.

Voting Week March 10th

Proposal: TMC Recommendation
Vote: Deploy both strategies
Reasoning: Arbitrum DAO is currently at a high spending level and I think balancing these with revenues would make the DAO more sustainable. The treasury management initiative is a first step in this direction. For this reason, I voted to deploy both the Stables and ARB strategies.
