Report
Last week, a few of us attended the ETHWarsaw conference. It is the biggest conference in Poland. You could feel that Poland has a very vibrant crypto community and the event itself was very well organized.
The venue was mid-sized and manageable, and organizers reported around 700 attendees over two days, along with several side events during Warsaw Blockchain Week.
At the start of the conference, organizers shared updates about the future of ETHWarsaw. The event, in its current format, will probably not continue next year due to the amount of work required and limited funding, as much of it depends on volunteer efforts. Instead, the team plans to open a web3 coworking and event space to host smaller, more frequent gatherings.
They have also applied to host DevCon 2026 in Warsaw: https://forum.devcon.org/t/proposed-location-warsaw-poland/7914
ETHWarsaw Questbook D.A.O. grant
ETHWarsaw received a Questbook D.A.O. grant under “Arbitrum Education, Community Growth, and Events 3.0.” The grant amount was $17,910.
The key deliverables included Arbitrum speaker slots during the conference, participation in the hackathon, an Arbitrum-themed Chill Out room, and pre- and post-conference online promotion such as Twitter Spaces.
Some deliverables are still pending, such as post-conference promotion. The ETHWarsaw team is expected to share a more detailed report on KPIs, particularly around the hackathon, in the coming week.
Arbitrum DAO had notable visibility at the event. In addition to logos on standard materials (website, prints, screens, etc.), there was an Arbitrum Chill Out room and customized merch bags.
However, Arbitrum DAO did not have a booth at the event, which was replaced by the Chill Out room.
Arbitrum representatives
Arbitrum was represented at ETHWarsaw by @Tekr0x.eth, @TempeTechie, @krst, and @Mateusz from the Arbitrum Foundation. Together, we gave two talks, joined one roundtable, and we were available to meet with attendees to discuss Arbitrum-related topics throughout the event.
Mateusz presented “ArbitrumDAO – a System for Resilient Decision Making,” while Tekr0x.eth delivered a talk titled “Mini Apps Are The New Playground (Also, Build on Arbitrum).”
Krzysztof Urbański, delegate and Governance Lead at L2Beat, also participated in a roundtable discussion titled “Are We There Yet? State of Onchain Infrastructure and Tooling.”
In addition, Urbe Campus, a developer community from Rome, ran a workshop called “Introduction to Arbitrum Stylus: Writing High-Performance Smart Contracts with Rust and Cursor AI.” This workshop was part of the D.A.O. grant, and a more detailed report is expected from the ETHWarsaw team.
The full agenda is available here: https://www.ethwarsaw.dev/agenda. Video recordings of the talks are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Arbitrum DAO Morning Run
On the last day of the conference, I organized an Arbitrum DAO Morning Run. It was the only recreational activity during Warsaw Blockchain Week and was well received by participants. Fifteen runners took part and completed the run.
At the finish, all participants were able to mint a POAP via geo-location minting on the Arbitrum One chain. Afterward, a few of us went for coffee together. A short vlog from one of the participants can be found here: https://x.com/queen_oddspades/status/1964228246502851016
