:pushpin: Overview

Arbitrum Launchpad India was a multi-stage IRL developer onboarding initiative designed to introduce system-level developers (Rust, C++, Go) to Arbitrum Stylus and convert them into active ecosystem builders.

The program was executed across Eastern and Southern India, focusing on Tier 2/3 developer ecosystems that are typically underrepresented in global Web3 initiatives.

:bullseye: Key Achievements

  • 9+ workshops across 10 colleges

  • 2000+ developers reached

  • 800+ registrations for RollUp Hack’25

  • 600+ first-time smart contract deployments

  • 450+ new wallets created

  • 2 BuildStations (Chennai + Bhubaneswar)

  • 100+ high-intent builders activated

  • 30+ teams formed

  • 30+ project submissions

  • 3+ high-quality Stylus-based dApps

  • Gathered more than 100K+ impressions across socials

Ecosystem Impact

This initiative successfully created a developer funnel for Arbitrum Stylus, converting awareness into real on-chain activity and long-term ecosystem participation.

Unlike one-off events, the program focused on:

  • Structured onboarding → hands-on building → mentorship → post-hack retention

  • Formation of 2 blockchain clubs for continued engagement

  • Direct pipeline into Arbitrum grants and mentorship programs

Impact of Grant Funding

The $11,800 grant enabled us to:
  • Execute multi-city IRL activations

  • Provide hands-on mentorship and technical guidance

  • Build and distribute Stylus learning resources

  • Support real project development and hackathon execution

Most importantly, the funding allowed us to prioritize developer experience and conversion over pure marketing, leading to high-quality ecosystem outcomes.

Qualitative Impact & Community Feedback

Key Outcomes

  • Strong adoption of Stylus among system-level developers

  • High engagement during Buildstations with deep technical discussions

  • Participants explored advanced use cases:

    • ZK verification systems

    • AI agent coordination

    • DeFi automation

    • Governance tooling

:speech_balloon: Testimonials / Feedback (Indicative)

  • “This was my first time deploying a smart contract - Stylus made it approachable.”

  • “The mentorship helped us go from idea to working prototype in days.”

  • “We’re continuing to build and applying for grants.”

We got Feedback after the Workshop Tour ended from the attendees to get an overview of their understanding about Stylus. Below is the link.:backhand_index_pointing_down:

Also, we got in Testimonials from Winners of RollUp Hack’25, about their experience on building using Stylus.

4. Financial Summary

Total Grant: $11,800

Allocation Overview

  • :busts_in_silhouette: Personnel & Mentorship → ~45%

  • :building_construction: Infrastructure & Venues → ~20%

  • :backpack: Materials & Equipment → ~15%

  • :megaphone: Marketing & Outreach → ~10%

  • :trophy: Prize Pool → ~25%

:bar_chart: Key Insight

The budget was intentionally optimized for:

  • Mentorship and builder activation

  • Hands-on learning experiences

  • High conversion to real projects

This resulted in high capital efficiency (~$5–6 per developer onboarded).

No major deviations from the planned budget were required.

5. Future Plans & Continued Ecosystem Alignment

We have already created groups with the Winners from the Hackathon(RollUp Hack’25) and are in constant touch with the teams and mentoring them further.

- Next Steps

  • Continue mentoring top teams:

    • CodeSmiths (Universal-ZKV)

    • Soul Society (BlockOPS)

    • FizzBuzz (AgentSwarm)

  • Support teams in:

    • Applying for Arbitrum grants

    • Joining Arbitrum Mentorship Program

    • Scaling their products

:seedling: Long-Term Vision

  • Expand the Arbitrum Launchpad model to more regions

  • Build persistent campus communities (Arbitrum Clubs)

  • Continue onboarding system developers into Stylus

:handshake: Ecosystem Alignment

We remain committed to:

  • Growing Stylus adoption

  • Supporting new developer cohorts

  • Acting as a regional DevRel and ecosystem partner for Arbitrum in India

6. Additional Remarks

  • This initiative proved that Tier 2/3 regions in India are high-potential developer hubs

  • Hands-on, mentorship-driven approaches significantly outperform passive learning models

  • Stylus adoption improves rapidly when paired with guided onboarding and real project building

:end_arrow: Closing Note

Arbitrum Launchpad India was not just an event series, it was a developer ecosystem pipeline.

We’re excited to continue building on this momentum and contribute to Arbitrum’s long-term growth globally.

Great to see this final report from the Odisha DAO team..! :raising_hands: As a fellow Indian delegate and governance researcher, this kind of ground-level builder program is exactly what the Arbitrum ecosystem needs in India.

The ~$5–6 per developer onboarded cost efficiency is genuinely impressive, and focusing on Rust/C++/Go developers for Stylus adoption was a smart, long-term play. The structured mentorship-to-deployment pipeline also stands out compared to typical one-off hackathons.

Yes, thanks for the acknowledgement, Manoj. Really appreciate it.

We have been observing all the initiatives being taken across India and other regions and made sure we come up with the best structured, cost-efficient strategy with proper on ground execution to make it a huge success when it comes to adoption of Stylus.
