Summary of the project
The ETH Bolivia Buildathon 2025 successfully brought together developers, students, entrepreneurs, and Web3 enthusiasts to build innovative solutions within the blockchain ecosystem.
Through workshops, mentoring sessions, and project development, the event fostered talent in Latin America, strengthened the local Ethereum and Arbitrum communities, and generated projects aligned with decentralized technologies. This event positioned Arbitrum as a key ecosystem for builders in Bolivia and the region.
Impact
The grant allowed us to cover essential organizational costs, provide mentoring resources, host workshops, and ensure a high-quality experience for participants. Without this support, it would not have been possible to achieve the scale and impact of the event.
The funding empowered us to attract more builders and showcase Arbitrum as a powerful environment for innovation.
Highlights:
-
10 years of Ethereum -
3 years of Ethereum Bolivia -
162 hackers, 347 general attendees, and 13 pre-events across the country with 800+ participants.
Arbitrum played a central role: supporting workshops, mentorship, and bounties, while becoming one of the most adopted technologies by hackathon teams.
The Buildathon was a three-day event in Santa Cruz, Bolivia
(Aug 1–3, 2025) that combined hacking, conferences, and community networking.

Conclusion
The ETH Bolivia Buildathon 2025 met and exceeded the objectives outlined in our initial proposal to Arbitrum.
Beyond introducing the technology, the event created a pipeline of projects and developers ready to continue building on Arbitrum.
This marks the beginning of a long-term relationship between Arbitrum and the Bolivian blockchain community. Continued support will help establish Arbitrum as the primary Layer 2 in Bolivia and LATAM.
We propose a follow-up call to explore future collaborations.
