Introducing DAO Watch – A Deep Dive into Arbitrum Governance

Thanks for creating this initiative, and welcome to the DAO as a delegate! Bringing visibility to Arbitrum DAO will be useful to make decisions more transparent and onboard new users. Please share the links of relevant channels once they are set up so we can support there, too.

We’re excited to launch the first episode of DAO Watch, a bi-weekly show dedicated to highlighting key discussions, proposals, and voices from the Arbitrum DAO.

In our debut episode, I’m joined by my co-host Klaus (Hack Humanity) and special guest Joseph (Cup of Joe), a longtime Solidity dev and Arbitrum builder. We explore:

:small_blue_diamond: The OPCO entity and its potential impact on DAO operations
:small_blue_diamond: Joseph’s bold idea for a delegation decay mechanism
:small_blue_diamond: The state of onboarding and incentives for new builders
:small_blue_diamond: And a look ahead at Nerite, a native Arbitrum stablecoin

New episode of DAO Watch with @paulofonseca and cohost @CryptoSI

We cover:

  • Arbitrum’s new vision for the future pros and cons
  • Paulo’s newly launched governance tooling app: @proposalsapp
  • the role of governance tooling to shape change
  • organisational design in and between DAOs, Foundations, Labs, Service Providers and individual contributors

A good listen if want to learn in depth about Arbitrum in particular, you value nuance, unpacking and deeply considering the consequences of decisions in organisational design, trust and power, and efficiency vs effectiveness in decentralised organisations.
