Introducing the Inverted Bonding Curve, Matriz and Myself

GM! :waving_hand:

I’m opening this thread as a way of introducing myself, hoping it’s a suitable channel and format. I appreciate any suggestions on how to share this.

I’m writing for two reasons, although both are linked by the same thing:

mutualism

(a.k.a. a win-win-win relationship). :infinity:

First, I participated in the ETH Cinco de Mayo hackathon @ Mexico City, where we deployed the proof of concept for a coordination-based Dapp on Arbitrum Sepolia.

Inverted Bonding Curve.

As a first example, we’re exploring a crowdsourcing tool that allows people to gather by topic and sign up for a self-executing waitlist (using a smart contract escrow and augmented bonding curves), purchasing a product or service at the wholesale price. :rocket:
More info here. :backhand_index_pointing_left:

The best part?

This wasn’t just a project for the hackathon. I’m co-founding Matriz, a freelance community in Mexico where we aim to apply this and other “mutual coordination mechanisms.”

That is, we’re building a social enterprise that generates a common work infrastructure among freelancers, as a common good, governed as a DAO, for the purpose of mutualization, which aims to apply web3 tools to the general public without them even realizing it.

Beyond the pleasure of bragging, I’d like to extend an open call to anyone who would like to explore ways to collaborate to make this a reality. :folded_hands:

And secondly, I would also like to use this as my letter of introduction to begin a long and fruitful relationship with Arbitrum. :heart_hands:

About Me:

:person_with_skullcap:

I’m a facilitator in agreement building and conflict resolution. Passionate about governance and, yes, mutualism.

In web3, I’m actively involved with Optimism as a core-govNERD and delegate (yes, I know). And I also interact with Metagov and Open Civics/Opus Collective (mostly because I’m a governance geek ). In addition to, as I said, building in Matriz.

I’d be very interested in learning more about Arbitrum’s governance and getting more involved. I think my Sociocracy/NVC perspective, infused with the Optimism perspective, with an eye toward mutualism, can contribute something interesting to the conversation.

For me, it’s important to deeply understand the different approaches to decentralization. Comparing Optimism with Arbitrum (and forging deeper connections) could be very valuable, IMO.

How can I get more involved?

As I said, I’m writing in this thread because I don’t know if there’s a better way to open up communication. I applied to become an Arbitrum Ambassador in Mexico but wasn’t selected. :smiling_face_with_tear:

What other gateway would you suggest I take?

Thank you in advance for your time reading and responding.

May this be the beginning of a friendship. :seedling:

Best regards;
