Date: March 25, 2025

Time: 16:00 - 17:00 UTC

Video call link: meet.google.com/ggc-rqgh-fsr

Approach:

  • The agenda below will be fluid.
  • For authors and/or key contributors of these proposals, it would be helpful if you could include a tl;dr / update of your proposal / discussion in the comments so delegates can review them and prepare their questions for the call.

Agenda

1. On-Chain AIPs (Tally)

  1. Overview of Security Council Candidates - @Arbitrum
  2. Adopt Timeboost + Nova Fee Sweep - @Arbitrum
  3. Arbitrum Audit Program - @Arbitrum
  4. Arbitrum Onboarding V2: A Governance Bootcamp - @RikaGoldberg

2. Successful Off-Chain AIPS

  1. None to discuss

3. Off-Chain AIPs (Snapshot)

  1. GMC’s Preferred Allocations (7,500 ETH) - @Entropy

4. Notable Proposal Discussions (Or upcoming snapshots)

5. Quick updates

  1. Please comment below to add any update

Additional Notes

  • We prioritize all proposals and notable discussions that have more engagement.
  • The logic of the two weeks is that given the proposal lifecycle (one week on the forum, one week on Snapshot and then two weeks on Tally). This means that even if a proposal goes through that shortest possible route, it will be covered at least at the proposal and the Tally stage or the Snapshot and the Tally stage.
  • For anything that needs a recap, they could be parked after these discussions

TL;DR Arbitrum Onboarding V2: A Governance Bootcamp

The Onboarding Working Group consists of myself, Sandra Carillo (@san), and our advisor, Bhaumik Patel, founder of Atrium Academy, a Uniswap hooks incubator.

We propose launching a selective training program designed to onboard high-quality governance contributors to Arbitrum. These contributors will be matched with protocols and service providers to assist them with governance work.

Seven protocols and service providers have expressed interest in participating in the matching program: Areta, Event Horizon, Gains Network, Gitcoin, Tally, Plutus DAO, and Uniswap Foundation.

This initiative builds on insights from our pilot program, previously funded through a small Questbook grant.

What will new governance contributors work on?

We conducted a survey to better understand the governance needs of protocols and service providers, enabling us to tailor the the curriculum.

The survey revealed that protocols and service providers share common goals, including:

  • Building relationships with delegates and ecosystem participants
  • Enhancing visibility and brand reputation within the DAO
  • Advocating for initiatives that align with their entity’s objectives

They also face similar governance pain points, such as:

  • Limited time to manage governance tasks
  • Difficulties engaging effectively with delegates and stakeholders
  • Keeping up with forum discussions and voting activity
  • Tracking and monitoring DAO initiatives

From these insights, we have identified the key roles and responsibilities of governance contributors, which include:

  • Monitoring and summarizing forum discussions
  • Tracking proposal submissions and progress
  • Participating in DAO-wide calls and providing detailed summaries
  • Providing insights into DAO sentiment, trends, and activities

We have built a Chatbot to help answer any questions that you may have about the proposal.
