Last MSS Update
The first half of June marked the end of the MSS as we transferred the remaining balances from all the Safes that the MSS was operating to addresses under the control of the Arbitrum Foundation. The last transactions the MSS executed before transferring control to the Foundation were the following:
Stylus Sprint
26,000 ARB to CoBuilders for their third milestone (tx link)
Delegate Incentives
8,000 ARB to Tamara as a retroactive payment of April’s DIP (tx link)
Hackathon Continuation Program
4,000 USDC for each of Welivedit.ai, Contribo, and Fair.ai for their third month (tx link)
MSS Transfer to Arbitrum Foundation
At the time the proposal to wind down the MSS passed Snapshot, the MSS was operating a total of 8 separate SAFEs. Those can be found at this spreadsheet — look for the ones marked as “active”.
The Arbitrum Foundation provided the MSS signers with a series of addresses to transfer the remaining balances to via Telegram (also listed in the spreadsheet above). They will also publicly confirm the addresses here on the forum.
We executed a test transfer of 1 ARB from each address to the respective address provided by the Foundation. Then, after they confirmed they received it, we executed transfers for the entire remaining balance of each Safe:
- 8,335,238.32 ARB transferred from Delegate Incentives (test tx, full tx)
- 100,000 ARB transferred from Event Horizon (test tx, full tx)
- 670,543.5 USDC transferred from ADPC Subsidies (test tx, full tx)
- 102,581.5 USDC transferred from Hackathon Continuation Program (test tx, full tx)
- 7,888,331 ARB transferred from Stylus Sprint (test tx, full tx)
- 112,245.95 ARB & 1,503,604.07 USDC from ARDC V2 (test tx, full tx)
- 1 ARB & 1,044,200.64 USDC from DAO Events Budget (test tx, full tx)
Items not transferred
The two remaining items under the MSS’s control are the balance of the MSS Payroll (18,216.09 ARB) and the control of JuanRah’s stream (found here under ‘Fixed’) for his role in the ARDC V2, which still has approximately 7,000 ARB (at the time of writing) to be vested.
The MSS payroll balance was held as a reserve in case the transfer of ownership of the MSS safes took longer, so signers could be paid pro rata for any additional work beyond June 15. Since it wasn’t needed, the balance will be returned to the DAO.
For JuanRah’s stream, it was decided that the effort needed to revoke the stream, transfer the balance, and then restart the stream was too much relative to the risk involved in keeping it as is. The ARDC’s term, and therefore the stream itself, is expected to run out on July 12th, which is less than a month away. Additionally, the MSS signers would be able to step up in the unlikely case of an emergency.
The post-mortem report is being worked on, and we’ll share it by the next GRC call.
