While none of these candidates ended up making it across the line, we split our vote between Pedro (65%), 0xRecruiter (25%), and PaperImperium (10%).
As other delegates have mentioned, Pedro has shown consistent dedication to the DAO, has a relevant background, and has no potential conflicts of interest. We feel that of the choices presented, he represents the voice of the DAO the best.
We picked 0xRecruiter as we recognize that the OAT will have to work closely with the AF and OCL, but we do not think that it would be a good idea to have direct representatives of either organization on this committee. Both groups hold an immense amount of soft power within the ecosystem, and the Foundation additionally already has an observing seat which they can use to exercise any guidance they wish to. 0xRecruiter is someone who has extensive experience with OCL and can effectively help the DAO work with them, while maintaining some degree of separation as they are no longer employed there.
Lastly, we know the vote for PaperImperium will be distinctly unpopular after recent events. We have no wish to reopen those discussions as we think things could have been handled better, but we do want to signal that we think someone like this would be important to have on the Oversight and Transparency Committee. Our hope is that a member like this could both act as a guardian, while having any potentially overzealous action moderated by other members of the committee.
