We fully support this proposal, as it’s highly likely that users who accidentally sent tokens to the contract address did so unintentionally. In order to implement this, we need to determine whether the Arbitrum token contract allows for the transfer of tokens back or if there is a mechanism in place to handle such situations. We would appreciate assistance from someone at the Arbitrum Foundation to clarify this matter.
If someone puts forth this proposal, and they have the necessary voting power (more than the required threshold or are among the top delegates), we will definitely vote in favour of it.
It’s worth noting that almost 170k $ARB (valued at around $220k) is currently sitting in the contract. We believe giving users a second chance promotes fairness and contributes to more decentralized governance in the Arbitrum ecosystem.
