Your example is incorrect, here’s a better one: if you flush you wallet down the toilet (doesn’t matter if it is intentional or accidental), nobody would be responsible for your fault. Of course, you can go to your bank or your employer and say that they are all benefitting from the deflation of currency you have just caused and ask them to reimburse🤣 Good luck with that.

No, you have to understand that in this case nobody found your money - it’s been lost to the sea if you will. It’s irrecoverable, you simply burned it. Nobody else but you is responsible for that, period.

I believe that it will pass if this DAO has not any decentralization problems . Airdrop is not a gesture, gesture should be equal for everyone. Airdrop is a vested right, because of it the airdroped amount is different for everyone according to what they have done for that right.
Projects do not airdrop for gesture or to make their followers happy, but to expand their investor/user base globally.
Omg, are you serious? Now that 80% multiaccount farmers have dumped their airdrops and switched to ZkSync and L0, do you really think the user base have grown after that🤣? The real purpose was to distribute the token in a way that is not subject to the SEC prosecution, and to make a token for the further project funding. Those who choose to be involved will take part in the governance.
Like I said, I’m sure that most of the holders will not support another dump and decreasing the treasury funds just to cover someone’s negligence.

Unfortunately, centralized acts such as rejecting this proposal will definitely question the decentralization of the DAO and dump the credibility and valuation of the Project.
This won’t be a centralized act, but a common sense. Not allowing a few to benefit at the expense of the project and the other holders is a good test for the credibility of the DAO imo.
You can go and vote to buy someone a house at the expense of the DAO. There are such votes that have passed in other projects The same vibes
