Perfect idea, I supported it!!
Please arbitrum, many people have this problem, pls support it
I really appreciate you. You are kind. I will definitely tell my friends that are yet to claim delegate to you… some of us, didn’t even try to send out transaction, some actually copied the right address, and there was no certain explation as to how everything diverted contract…
Sounds reasonable and fair
So come guys, let’s make a real proposal to vote!
Arbitrum Foundation
Let’s be generous and bring happiness to everyone.
Thank you for your recommandatio. I know that this is our mistake but i hope arbitrum foundation will help us. Thanks Welly
Wish you all the best
Pls see this arbitrum Foundation
Please just send back tokens to senders
It would be wise to inform people with high delegate power like olimpio, he might just be able to give a push with his delegate power. I’ve left a DM but got no reply, might’ve been punched down by the spammers in his message list. Can you inform him directly?
Yes I contacted him too, he said he will take a look at this proposal
Great, I’m agree with this proposal
@chopper @Yoda Yes, the wallets interacted with the ARB contract because they called the ‘Transfer’ function, that doesn’t mean there was a bug. If you didn’t sign that transaction, it means your private keys are compromised and someone else signed it for you. If you still have funds left in your wallet, I’d recommend to transfer them out to a fresh wallet ASAP. (Note: a lot of people believe that Adding a new wallet on Metamask is like having a completely fresh wallet, this is NOT the case).
Why weren’t the wallets completely wiped? The hacker might have run a script that only called the Transfer function in the ARB contract, since some of them were doing it with hundreds of wallets at a time. I personally discovered someone that made around 150ETH worth out of hacked wallets.
I’ve said before that I do hope that some people recover their funds, but for some (those who’s tokens were transferred to another’s person wallet) this will not be possible at all.
Please for arbitrum,im try hard for this problem, please return the tokens that have been sent to the ARB token contract address to the sender, THIS IS JUST AN ERROR NOT BECAUSE THEIR WALLET HAS BEEN HACKED BY HACKERS/SCAMMERS.
I agree with proposal too. There is something that is wrong with your system or whatever. Hundreds of people having the same issue? And you think everyone made by their own mistake ?
I am the one who’s tokens went back to ur contract address somehow. I AM ALWAYS DOBLE CHECKING IF I AM SENDING TO THE RIGHT ADDRESS. Once I was hacked and after that I am double checking such things. And when I saw that my trans was completed and I checked hash, I was very surprised.
Please, make a real support. Do not make a lot of people exhausted. You are a good project.
I still want to invest but this situation….
@yournick Not sure if it’s welcomed by the mod team, but if you share the tx address it would be easier to tell what happened.
@andriynim If you were hacked before, there might be a chance your wallets are still compromised?
Let’s not get it twisted, there’s two possibilities for what happened to everyone here (I think I’ve read every post):
- compromised private key
- own mistake
There’s nothing wrong with the distributor contract, shown by the hundreds of thousands of people that have claimed successfully.
I hope those that made a mistake can get their tokens back, but it’s also important to take accountability and not shift the blame for it to the team
I agree. it’s very good decition
First of all, I’m sorry for anyone who lost tokens that way. It must feel really unfair, and we can’t ignore this issue.
The thing is, how do you want this people to get their tokens back ? Do you want Arbitrum foundation to give them tokens again ? Or do you want Arbitrum foundaiton to “roll back” the transactions involved, in order to give tokens back to people ?
First thing isn’t bad, but I doubt the team would agree on it. Second thing is very dangerous, blockchains are supposed to be unforgeable. If we agree to give them their tokens back, will we refuse to obey malicious attackers ?
You are 100% right.
I was hacked 1.5 years ago.
Actually I would like to take responsibility for my actions and I hope everything will be how it should be
