[SOS Submission] {Merged: TBD} – Strategic Objectives

** Absolutely aligned with this direction.**

This proposal doesn’t just check the boxes, it maps a full blueprint for Arbitrum’s long-term dominance across DeFi and emerging verticals.

:white_check_mark: Objective 1 hits the nail on the head: if we want real adoption, we need real-world UX—mobile-native, social-integrated, and frictionless. The idea of AI agents in chat apps? Chef’s kiss.
:white_check_mark: Objective 2 shows we’re finally getting serious about onboarding TradFi and institutions. Let’s meet them where they are.
:white_check_mark: Objective 3 turns the spotlight on builders—because without them, none of this scales. Clear RFPs and non-crypto dev outreach are clutch.
:white_check_mark: Objective 4-5 reinforce Arbitrum’s edge in DeFi and plant seeds for the next big thing, whether it’s gaming, DePIN, or something we haven’t even imagined yet.

This is not just a strategy. It’s a statement: Arbitrum isn’t playing catch-up, we’re building the future.

Sharing some interesting things from the research made by @CastleCapital for the D.A.O. grants program. Some of them may come useful for the SOS proposal.

(This does not mean we shouldn’t do grants; it just means we need to offer additional support beyond just grants, especially in distribution.)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone can provide an update on the objectives that were previously outlined—specifically Objective 7, which focused on incorporating additional utility for the ARB token beyond governance and staking.

As a long-term holder of ARB, I’m concerned that current demand appears to be decreasing and that governance alone may not be enough to sustain long-term growth. I truly believe the Arbitrum ecosystem is thriving—innovation and adoption are accelerating—and I’d love to see the ARB token benefit more directly from this momentum.

If there are currently no plans to introduce additional utility for the token, that’s perfectly understandable, but it would still be helpful to receive some official guidance or direction on this topic moving forward.

Thank you,

Hey Arbit1, the process of selecting strategic objectives (SOS) has not completed yet, so no updates beyond what you can read about in this topic. Personally, I support having Objective 7 in the final SOS and I hope others will do as well.

I recommend checking the [Non-Constitutional] Arbitrum DAO Firestarter Fund proposal. I think it provides a clear path for delegates/contributors to work on (at least) some of the objectives (the other is of course the new DIP program).
