1. Can you provide a link to your previous STIP proposal (round 1 or backfund)?
2. How much, in the previous STIP proposal, did you request in ARB?
We requested 50,000 $ARB.
3. What date did you start the incentive program and what date did it end?
Tales of Elleria received 50,000 $ARB to be distributed equally through two major in-game collaborative events with distinguished game partners on other blockchains to onboard new users/players into the ecosystem.
- 18th - 31st December 2023: DeFi Kingdoms collab
- 18th - 31st March 2024: Spellborne game collab
4. Could you provide the links to the bi-weekly STIP performance reports and Openblocks Dashboard?

Performance Reports:
5. Could you provide the KPI(s) that you deem relevant for your protocol, both in absolute terms and percentage change, month over month, for the first of each month starting from October 2023 until April 2024, including the extremes?
Transactions
Player transactions with all Tales of Elleria tokens, from NFTs to Tokens, can be represented with this chart:
The green sections represent the duration during which Tales of Elleria distributed $ARB through our world boss event. There was an increase in transaction count per day from an average of 50 transactions per day to approximately 150 transactions a day, a 200% increase in total transaction count, tripling the activity without the STIP grant.
In-Game Trading Volume
Similarly, for in-game fees collected, we saw a sharp increase during the two event periods, reaching all-time highs in fees collected monthly, up to 20,000 - 30,000 $MAGIC in event months, compared to regular months of approximately 5,000 $MAGIC in fees collected, signaling a 200-400% increase in fees.
Player Count
Since the introduction of the STIP grant in December, we have seen a steadily increasing player count throughout this period. The average monthly player count peaked in March, the last world boss event, showing a 70% increase in active player counts since the event started, from an average of 1413 monthly players to 2407 monthly players.
A significant majority of the players were also retained as they continued playing Tales of Elleria in April. In the average monthly user chart above, a significant statistic of 92% of total players were retained.
6. Any lessons learned from the previous STIP round?
While the Arbitrum funding provided invaluable support that helped propagate our game, there was a lack of on-chain metrics in terms compared to other protocols due to the off-chain nature of our game. Tales of Elleria is now enhancing on-chain metrics to convert off-chain players to on-chain activity. We’ve now added mechanics to distribute rewards, incentives, and other tokens on-chain, and forcibly made players interact with Arbitrum to access these rewards so we have more representative on-chain metrics to show in the future.
Additionally, while the Arbitrum funding provided invaluable support, we realized that we needed to create content and other retention mechanics after our two big game partners, DeFi Kingdoms and Spellborne, brought about a wave of new players, to fully capitalize on our growth. Tales of Elleria strategically enriched its content offerings to enhance player retention and achieved a whopping 91% monthly retention ratio the month after STIP.
New Plans for STIP Bridge
7. How much are you requesting for this STIP Bridge proposal?
We are requesting 50,000 $ARB.
8. Do you plan to use the incentives in the same ways as highlighted in Section 3 of the STIP proposal?*
Yes
10. Could you provide the addresses involved in the STIP Bridge initiative (multisig to receive funds, contracts for distribution, and any other relevant contract involved), and highlight if they changed compared to the previous STIP proposal?
Multisig to receive the incentives: 0x69832Af74774baE99D999e7F74FE3F7d5833bF84
Contracts that will distribute the incentives:
0x89c828D4bC37C191c0F814dC9E9E306e7a0E0025
11. Could you share any feedback or suggestions on what could be improved in future incentive programs, what were the pain points and what was your general evaluation of the experience?
The process was generally a very smooth experience for us. We hope to continue bringing and retaining users to Arbitrum with the continuation of the STIP Bridge.
