With the recent passing of the proposal to establish the Arbitrum Multi-sig Support Service, which received overwhelming support, we are excited to report that the ADPC will be directing the Security Subsidy Fund’s multi-sig needs to the new MSS unit.
The ADPC agrees with the community’s assessment that the MSS unit will bring increased savings, efficiency, and transparency to DAO operations. These benefits will be critical for some of the funding and procurement activities the ADPC needs to complete in the coming months, particularly in managing rapid deployments, such as those for the Security Subsidy Fund.
This initial cohort of the Security Subsidy Fund will run for only 8 weeks. It was originally designed on the assumption that it would have to rely on the costly and inefficient multi-sigs in place before the establishment of the MSS. By plugging the Security Subsidy Fund into the MSS, the cost savings, increased transparency, and other benefits of using the MSS can flow back to Arbitrum DAO.
We have started the process to use the MSS for the Security Subsidy Fund and will report back to the community if there are any material changes to this arrangement.
