Milestone 5 Report - The Arbitrum University Event 3.0 at the Petroleum Training Institute, PTI, Nigeria
Here’s a report of the web3 Warri @Arbitrum University event that held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Petroleum Training Institute, PTI, Delta State, Nigeria.
We had an amazing time at the PTI event sharing and bridging the gap between academia and the industry as we shared the knowledge of Arbitrum with 206 attendees.
Worth noting also was the presence of the Registrar of the Petroleum Training Institute, who was ably represented by the director of the Student Affairs department.
Pre-Event Campaigns
To hit the goal we set out for ourselves - a minimum of 150 attendees and a maximum of 200 attendees, we had to strategically run an intensive onsite publicity campaign applying the same principles we used for the other past events.
Printing and distributing 1,000 physical informational fliers in classrooms.
Courtesy calls to the Director of the Student Affairs Unit and faculty members
We made a brief courtesy call to the director of the Student Affairs Unit and some staff members of the institution on the morning of the event.
Collaboration with the Student Affairs Unit of the Institution
One of the notable wins of this Arbitrum University event at PTI was the strategic partnership and collaboration we had with the school’s management through the Student Affairs Unit.
The director of the Student Affairs unit - who also represented the Registrar of the institution - used the event to address the students about avoiding cyber crimes and embracing Arbitrum and blockchain technology as a way to contribute meaningfully to society.
He also encouraged the attendees to learn as much as they could about Arbitrum so they can embark on research and build valuable products on the Arbitrum chain.
