Griff Green - Candidate for Security Council - September 2025

Motivation to sign up

I am currently a member of the Security Council and am happy to serve again. I was encouraged to apply by a few members of the foundation last year and take this responsibility very seriously.

I care deeply about the Arbitrum ecosystem and the genuine DAO governance we bring to the Ethereum L2 space. I try to be as active as I can be here and have the background for this specific role. I have fulfilled my duties during the previous year so of course I welcome the opportunity to serve again!

Side note, I’m not doing this for the money, I’m doing it cause I care. In fact, I failed to email the foundation back to say that I received their test transaction for the first payment so they didn’t pay me until 9 months into the term, when Raam noticed for me and followed up (I love that guy!)

Relevant experience

I have a deep history of crisis response in challenging situations in the Ethereum Ecosystem and am on many critical multisigs for a variety of projects.

I led the clean up of TheDAO hack from all angles, and joined the curator multisig with Vitalik and others to ensure all the edge cases of the DAO got sorted out. Still to this day i support people in getting funds back from TheDAO

As a founder of the White Hat Group, I managed the response to several other emergencies. We were the 2016-2018 equivalent to SEAL911. We supported many flawed ICOs privately and publicly, and audited Aragon and MakerDAO.

2 notable WHG actions were safely returning 10% of all ETC in existence to DAO token holders (a contract managed by our 3 of 5 multisig on ETC), and we rescued over $200M during the first Parity Multisig hack, ensuring 100% of the funds were returned within a week, saving several projects from complete disaster.

I also served on all the MSS multisigs for Arbitrum DAO, and currently am on the Bridge Multisig for Gnosis Chain, security council for ENS, am on the community multisig for Aragon (and prevented a hostile takeover a few years ago), ran one of the 7 validators for the ol’ Rinkeby testnet, and countless other multisigs.

I’m an active delegate in the Arbitrum DAO, so I’m pretty much always scrolling through new proposals and weighing in on the debates in the forums and in chat rooms about everything going on.

I would love to continue serving the DAO in this capacity. Thank you for your votes!
