Oasis Onchain Quick Grants

Hello Team! Just finished the first milestone and posted it on Karma:
(Karma GAP - ForkinWisdom)

Also sharing it here:

Video Walkthrough:
(milestone 1 - Oasis Onchain Grant | Loom)

Task completed so far:

*Made the app and the voting mechanism to work on the Arbitrum network. As you can see in the video above, the app is working on Arbitrum now.

*Created a dashboard for each project to gamify the experience. Each project will be able to track all their metrics and their points, to make it more exciting and to gamify the experience. Below you will find the metrics we will be focusing on.

*Created several storytelling techniques (see links below), to get projects excited and to show the different possibilities. At the end everything will be modified by the community, but we wanted to give them a starting point.

REWARDS:

The most important aspect is that all the projects will be winners (they will all receive a very cool scrollable story about their impact).

But to gamify the experience, as projects go towards the top of the leaderboard, they will earn an extra reward (see the table below).

(note: this table is still a WIP but wanted to share here for context):

METRICS TO BE TRACKED:

*On-chain votes casted: This is very important because we want to increase the volume of transactions on-chain and in Arbitrum. We will be constantly reminding the projects that they need to vote on everything in order to get more points.

*Cross-promotion likes: We will be asking all the projects to tweet about the other projects campaigns. This is to cross-amplify everybody’s messages and to create a really big impact and awareness. It will also serve as a reminder that this project will not work in “rivalrous mode”, we will all work to make the others thrive.

*Increase in followers count: This is to get projects excited about the benefits and progress they are creating for themselves. At the beginning of the contest we will capture the following count of every project.

*Crowdfunding: This will help everyone achieve and amplify their messaging. We will create paid campaigns for the top 3 projects

(note: this metrics are still a WIP but wanted to share here for context)

SOME EXAMPLES OF THE STORY STYLES WE HAVE BEEN EXPLORING:

These were created to get projects excited and to show the different possibilities. At the end everything will be modified by the community, but we wanted to give them a starting point.

Hello Team!

We are very excited to share with you 3 new important milestones for the project:

Please see the video walkthrough in our KarmaGap profile (this forum is nos letting us past links today, don’t know why).

Milestone 1: Implementation of a Frictionless Voting System on Arbitrum with Paymaster Sponsorship

Building upon our previous milestone where we integrated the voting system on Arbitrum, we have now enhanced it by incorporating Paymaster sponsorship. This advancement allows users to participate in voting without the need for a wallet, ETH, or passwords, offering a seamless and Web2-friendly experience. Users can now vote securely using their device’s passkey, with all transactions fully sponsored.

Key Features:

  • Embedded Voting Interface: Users can vote directly on the platform without additional requirements.
  • Frictionless Onboarding: Eliminates barriers by removing the necessity for wallets or cryptocurrency holdings.
  • Transparent On-Chain Voting History: Each vote is recorded on-chain with transaction hashes and block information, ensuring full transparency.
  • Database Integration: Votes are populated in our database for tracking and analysis.

This milestone significantly advances our goal of creating a frictionless Web3 onboarding experience, aligning with the project’s core objectives.

Milestone 2: Successful Onboarding of Nine Projects

We are delighted to report that we have successfully onboarded nine out of the ten targeted projects. We are in ongoing communication with the remaining project and are optimistic about a positive response.

Highlights:

  • Positive Feedback: The onboarded projects have expressed strong support and enthusiasm for our initiative. Many were already familiar with our work and are eager to collaborate.
  • Long-Term Partnerships: We are building strong relationships, laying the groundwork for ongoing collaboration and mutual growth.
  • Timely Delivery: All campaigns are on schedule to be fully finished by October 6th, aligning perfectly with the two-month mark of the grant period.

Milestone 3: Development of the “Wisdom Council” On-Chain Collective Signaling Tool

We have developed a new tool called the Wisdom Council On-chain Collective Signaling Tool, designed to enhance community engagement and collective decision-making.

Key Aspects:

  • On-Chain Collective Signaling: Enables community members to discuss project campaigns and share ideas.
  • User Idea Submission: Users can submit ideas, which are displayed in a randomized order to ensure equal visibility.
  • Interactive Voting Mechanism: Community members can upvote or downvote ideas. Voting is fully sponsored, enhancing web2 user-friendliness.
  • Transparent Tracking: Each interaction is recorded on-chain with unique codes and timestamps, allowing us to monitor selections and engagement levels.

These milestones have been uploaded to Karma-Gap and Arbitrum Forum

We would like to ask for 1,000 arb along these milestones, because we really need those funds to continue building and creating the campaigns. (The total grant is for 5,000 arb, and we have received 2,750 arb so far).

We are very excited about these developments and believe they significantly contribute to the project’s success. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to keeping you updated on our progress.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require further information.

Thank you for your support, and we are eager to continue building together.
