[Non-Constitutional] Whitelist Infura Nova Validator (Snapshot)

Summary: This proposal aims to add the Arbitrum Nova validator operated by Infura to the whitelist. By doing so, it will leverage Infura’s robust infrastructure and expertise to enhance the network’s security and reliability.

Vote and rationale:

AIP: Whitelist Infura Nova Validator

We vote FOR the proposal on Snapshot. We consider this as a simple oversight during the process and it’s natural to allow the provider with great track record to properly operate the validator as a Nova validator. We have the same question, though. It’s contradicting to the statement Infura’s validator has been running successfully for a while, participating in the Data Availability Committee (DAC) ? The status page doesn’t show the Nova status either, nor it’s not that indication of Infura …

Research on context and retention (Snapshot)

Summary: This proposal aims for TogetherCrew, a project incubated by RnDAO, to obtain read access to the APIs of Arbitrum’s Discourse and Discord, in order to conduct analysis on the context and member retention of the Web3 community.

Vote and rationale:

Research on context and retention

We vote FOR the proposal on Snapshot. We appreciate the potential value to be provided by the research from TogetherCrew team without cost from the DAO treasury. However, we are not certain that the DAO is the one to decide whether the API access to Discord is allowed, while most of the Discourse data is public and much related to discussions around the DAO. Either way, we support the concept and its modified implementation that addresses the concerns from the delegates and related parties.

An EIP-4824 powered daoURI for Arbitrum DAO (Snapshot)

Summary: This proposal suggests that the Arbitrum DAO publishes an on-chain daoURI compliant with EIP-4824 to control its own metadata. The daoURI creates a single source of truth regarding the DAO, which cannot be altered by external entities and is fully manageable through governance. This will provide valuable on-chain context for newcomers, tooling providers, and experienced governance participants.

We vote for Use ENS txt records on Snapshot. This change leads to a better accessibility of the metadata for the toolings in the ecosystem, without additional cost. We believe it’s acceptable to utilize the ENS records for the information.
