Arbitrum DAO at Urbe Campus (Rome) - October 2025

Urbe Campus is an educational bootcamp taking place in Rome from 6-15 October 2025. It has received a grant from the Arbitrum D.A.O. program.

The goal of the bootcamp is to guide web2 developers into web3 by teaching Solidity, web3 frontend development, and even building Arbitrum-based mini apps on Farcaster. As we all know, mini apps are gaining popularity across platforms, which has also been recognized by Offchain Labs, who have been running weekly Arbitrum mini app contests on Farcaster.

I’ll be in Rome during the event and plan to visit Urbe Campus to represent Arbitrum DAO. It would be awesome if a few more delegates could join as well, especially those based in Rome or nearby. It’s a great opportunity to connect with developers, showcase what’s happening in the Arbitrum ecosystem, and represent the DAO together.

If you’re interested, send me a DM or write a reply below and we can coordinate!

Here’s a follow-up from my visit to the Urbe Campus in Rome last week:
As mentioned, it was an 8-day bootcamp / series of workshops where participants learned how to build web3 apps, covering both smart contracts and front-end development.

The bootcamp was funded through an Arbitrum D.A.O. grant, which is why attendees deployed their smart contracts to Arbitrum and also learned about the Arbitrum ecosystem, including Stylus.

I greeted the participants on behalf of the DAO and helped answer some of their technical questions.

The bootcamp was led by Fabri from the Urbe team, who did a great job teaching. The entire event was very well organized, and I hope we’ll have more opportunities to collaborate with the Urbe team in the future (they’re building a really cool web3 hub in Rome).

thank you a lot for this report and visiting, when we have delegates attending events, especially the ones we fund through our treasury and program, means that 1) we are succeeding in putting the community as a whole together 2) we have a more neutral third party testimony that allows us to understand if the event works and if in general we are going in the right direction.

Also I know that you used your personal time to be there which is something that is definitely not given for granted, for this thanks ser.

Thank you Tempe for visiting us in Rome!
Everyone is more than welcome to join us anytime at the Urbe hub.

The Bootcamp was a blast, everyone had fun and learnt about basic concept of web3 and even shipped onchain apps. I had a great fun teaching them what I know and @TempeTechie was great, giving me interesting insights on vibe coding platforms I can use during these bootcamps.

Final report from Urbe is coming soon.

Let’s meet in Argentina for the next,

Fabri!
